HELP! Light brown, shriveled seedling taproot tip

Hello everyone, my seedlings' taproot tips appear light brown and shriveled. The seeds germinated in rapid rooters that were presoaked in distilled water for 24 hrs. Excess water was removed for it to be just moist. They were put in a humidity dome with distilled water in the grooves of the tray. Average temp was 78F and 80% rh. Led light strip was turned on after they surfaced. I noticed the taproot tips were light brown and thinned out after their first 18 hrs of light. What could be causing this?

If there is light shining on your taproot - then the light did it. Roots don't like light.

You're right, light was reflecting off the water in the tray. Just dropped them in their pots and see how they'll do. Thanks Canuck147
