Really grateful to be growing indoors, because outdoors is a crazy place in my neck of the woods. Mother Nature is on a bender this year. She laid waste to my outdoor garden with the trifecta - 80F rain, windy AF - blew several large pots of cosmos and other goodies off the deck, smashing the contents. Then when the sun comes out, omg, Steamy Magoo. Capped it for me with a fawn getting tangled in the deer netting and the last thing I saw was a tiny baby deer fleeing wearing a swathe of netting like a Halloween ghost. Oh the guilt!
Everybody's gotta eat. The nets have to come down today. This weather is probably killing the tomatoes as we sit here anyway. May as well give them to the animals.
I hope he got out of it. That baby was a lot faster than me with my flapping dress, bunk hip, and bare feet loping through the stickers. Green tomatoes and ripped up bushes everywhere. That poor baby. That's all I really care about. Sooo bummed
Currently very blustery - just waiting for stuff to fly off the deck again. Wind going in all directions of the compass. This is the kind of freakish weather that brings big trees down. I know this because 5 years ago I was in a house that a big tree fell on - almost to the day. Aug 29, 2015. Don't exactly know how I didn't get killed then, but I sure have big tree awareness now and there are some very big ones in back of us.
At least my grow in the garage is safe. Ish. Safeish.
