    PH meter recommendation??

Just spilled 2 litres of fertigate. šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ™ƒšŸ™ƒ

Just so happens that my cheap vivosun ph meter was a casualty. Hoping it will dry out by morning and will be ok.

Other than that what does everyone use? I'm thinking of buying a more expensive one. Price range not an issue.

Im only getting back into growing, so this is only my opinion based on all the research I have done. BluLab PH meter's etc are high quality made, and from a company that specialises in these sort of measuring devices.

I also do own a PH meter and a EC meter from BluLab, can't fault them.

how fast do they give a result? and does the probe stay wet in there? Mine is a cheap one and takes forever to display a proper number and the liquid keeping it wet during storage always evaporates cuz it's shit and there's no o-ring or anything.

This is the one I'm using https://www.hydroexperts.com.au/Blue...SABEgKtEvD_BwE. It wasn't cheap, but worth the money in my opinion. The probes are always submerged in the reservoir, so always wet. From what I have been reading, most pople good a good life out of the PH probe, and they are replacable with new probes when needed. You can also get a handheld version as well. It a lot quicker than my HM PH meter which I use for double checking and when topping up the reservoir. HM EC meter to checking run off and topping up reservoir.

I have a number of ph pens. The two that I use the most often and read exactly the same are the Bluelab and the Vividsun( not the one for $12.99). The HM would probably come in 3rd.
You want to keep the probe wet. Maybe you could store it standing up in a cup with a 1/2" of clean water in it? Drying out the probe damages it.

Completely agree with you on the BluLab and th HM meters, I use HM for double checking and reservoir top up etc. Haven't seen the Vividsun one's before, whats the quality like compared to the BluLab?

The vivosun is actually a great meter. Works just as well as my Bluelab. Cost is just under $90

I grow with the Auto pot system. Have a Blue Lab PH controller for the Rez. I use a Hannah Instruments PH pen for everything else. Model #98128. I’d recommend both.

What medium do you use? First grow. I'll be turning my autopot on in less than two weeks. Coco perlite 50/50

I'm using Fox Farm Ocean/Forest blend soil 50/50 with perlite. I want to switch over to coco for the next grow.

Paper ph strips. Can be stored indef and no calibration needed. I’m done with ph meters
