    Lookimg for help please!

    Hi, guys!

First time grower here, looking for help from experienced.

I’ve decided to grow 2 x Fast Buds Blackberry autoflower strains, please see pictures below about my balcony setup. I’m using Plagron Royal Mix soil, 1 plant in a 11 litre plastic pot, 1 plant in a 15 litre fabric pot. The tap water was tested for 5.8-6.4ph, light distance is about 65cm, and I’m using 2 x 30w Sanlight M30’s, 18/6 cycle. I’ve decided to start with LST at day 21, and would love know, if I’m doing it correctly.

    Here are my questions:

    1. Are the plants in a correct position, I’ve done the first LST a day before the pictures were made, however they have re-arranged themself within 24h, and would love to know, if I should do the LST again to the other side of the pot to have more light access for them.

    2. How often I should change the plant position during LST? Daily, weekly?

    3. I will start using Plagron’s Alga Bloom from week 6, but also thinking about to get their Green Sensation product. Is it worth the money? Can I mix it together with Algo Bloom in the same water?

    4. The plants are on my balcony, there is air movement time to time (can see the leaves moving), however not all day. Should I get a small fan?

Would really appreciate to get an answer for all my questions.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Regards

Hello and welcome to GWE i will try my best to give you my thoughts I know nothing about the products you speak of. I do know NPK amounts that i use and i use organic composted soils i make and buy. I don't feed my autos for the first 2wks anything and if they are growing healthy in the soil it's just water till they get 3-4wks. It's learning the looks of the leaf and plant if it's healthy.

Those grow quick and get stiff quick after 3wks it's breakage they snap easy. The very bottom i would of anchored the base down as you may pull it up from root don't let it tug it out of soil anchor the back down. You will adjust it more or not just LST is good for now. I adjust as they grow if you disturb trim or anything let it rest for a day. At some time you will need to bring those plant closer to the light source auto flowers love long warm days with plenty of light.

Just don't get radical your first auto grow these guys are finicky when you just start out with them and not sure what to do. So far it all looks good. My NPK for grow is fox farms grow big 6-4-4 i use it as needed but the soil is good that i use. My bloom suppliment is called age old organics 5-10-5 folks use all sorts of different products i stick with what i'm happy with and good job on my plants. Good luck and sorry for the long read

      Thanks for your reply!

I’ve bought the plants in a grow shop, they were in a hydro setup for the first 3 weeks, then I’ve changed them to Plagron’s Royal Mix soil, which has already plenty of organic fertilizers in it, so additional nutrients are not necessary at the moment. I don’t want to burn them, as they look very healthy. Once they will start flowering, I’m going to add basic organic nutrients to support them in the flowering stage, then probably a flower booster for 5 weeks, then flush them for a week.

My main concers are the following:

      1. LST them the right way to have the best positions for undeveloped colas, and have them as much as possible.

      1. Light distance. I’m using 2 x Sanlight M30 (30w each) full spektrum lights (They were $150 each, so I guess they must be good), but would love to know, if the 25” height is good, or should I lower the lights as bit.l, as they are only 60w together.

      3. Air ventilation. The plants are on the balcony, air flow is ok, but I would love to know, if a small ventilator would help them to grow better.

I will post some more pictures later.

      Thank you!

      Regards

Looks good if the fans are reaching upward all is good. It may take few days then they start to stretch their branch arms. Sounds like a really good soil mix i love not giving nutes and creating living soil nearly.

Just FYI for future....to get larger growth you will need stronger light. The LST looks good, she is a tad small for the age because of the lighting. Full spectrum like the sun

Here are the specs of my lights:

      • 77µmol/s PPF
      • Broadband full spectrum
      • 30W Power Draw
      • 90° Beam Angle
      • Modul-Efficiency 2,8µmol/J
      • 90% Light-Output after 80.000h of operating
      • Compact Luminaire
      • Flexible expandable
      • Passive and soundless cooling
      • Protection class IP20

Should I lower them closer to achieve better results?

      Thanks

Plants look good and healthy - not really sure why you are flattening them out - not enough grow space? Whatever timeline your seed producer gave you for flowering - add 2 or more weeks to it due to the training.
How often should you train them? Adjust your tie downs daily.

        Good luck growing.

Yes, my grow space is limited to a 40x80cm (16x32”) box, and 100cm (40”) height. I’ve found some useful information about my M30’s light distance setup (see attached picture below), then I’ve lowered them yesterday to 35cm (14”). Hope that’s ok, no light burns so far. LST has been adjusted again today. By the way, how often do you guys recommend to water them? Temperatures are now around 30C (86F) during the day, 18C (64F) during night. Humidity is ranging between 25-70%. Any help is much appreciated! Here are some new pictures:
