Trim jar - Opened or closed?

I've been staging my harvest and putting my trim in a mason jar. I've been leaving it open, for fear of mold growing. What say you, esteemed forum members?

Howdy BR2K, I keep both the trim and bud sealed in glass jars in the refrigerator while they cure. The cooler temperature (around 42° F) does not seem to adversely affect the curing process and defiantly helps to keeps mold and fungi under control. I, also, use smaller jars (8 to 16 ounce size) just in case an unwanted growth does get started, I will not lose as much. I do use the quart size for the trim (sealed and also in the fridge).

I don’t but them in the fridge heard a lot of mold can get in there and the humidity is too high.
but when they come in my jars, the first week it’s open about an hour to one a half. 2 second week its only 30 min a day
Just because people are over 50 doesn’t mean they know everything.
You can teach a old dog new tricks - But it will still think the old ways are the “best” lol

Same here, the only bud (or trim) that I have lost due to mold and/or fungus, was when I stored it at room temperature in a dark closet.

My jar is never in a dark room. They are standing on my living room from day one the herb is in the jar.
As long they don’t get direct sunlight is all good..

I may just try one jar in the freezer and one in the fridge. I scored some 190 proof Everclear and will use the fridge jar for some hash oil. The freezer trim jar will be for my dry ice hash. I had my Laughing Buddha surprise me with finishing up at least a week ahead of her sisters.
