    Spider mites

This is my first grow. I'm 50 days into flower. I have had the burden of dealing with spider mites for a few weeks. At first I thought the white on the leaves was powder mold until I saw what looked like a snail without legs or a shell on the main stem. I'm removing infested leaves daily. I haven't seen any webs yet fortunately. It sucks to have this problem in flower. It really limits what you can do. The buds look good though. Zoom in on the photos

Growing in soil? If so you can put 1/2 inch of sand on top of your soil - can't live in it.

Yes, I am growing in soil. I also see a bunch of tiny white bugs crawling around inside the soil. It looks like they stay in the soil. If I rub my fingers on top of the soil I see a lot of them running around. They don't leave the soil. I was considering harvesting early, but since im so close to flower in going to stick it out for like 10 more days. I will take your advice and use sand. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it!

ISO 91% 50/50 with water and spray the underside then the top, this kills the adults leaving the eggs to hatch so it needs to be done every 2 days for at least 3 treatments.
Spinosad is effective as well and said to be safe to harvest.
If outside ladybugs are the best.
I would work in a bit of food grade DE into the soil and over the top.
I dont remember the mix but, peroxide and water for the soil IIRC 1 part peroxide and 8 parts water, kills larva in the soil.
