Looking to improve my grow setup with some recommendation.

I've just started my first grow using the plethora of knowledge provided by growweedeasy.com as well as this forum. Included below is an overview of my current setup and my plans for upgrades moving forward. Would love to hear some recommendations to perfecting my grow space.

• 5x5x7 Vivosun grow tent
• 1000 watt metal halide for veg and a 1000 watt hps for bloom
• Growing in 4 7gallon fabric pots from vivosun with a coco and perlite mix
• 40 pint dehumidifier
• Cheap mist humidifier from taotronics I believe
• Using temp and humidity controllers from inkbird or somthing like that
• Have an oil filled radiator for heating (heat is most definetly not a worry atm)
• Using a 6inch 400cfm inline fan and carbon filter.
• No intake fan currently only using passive meshed intakes on the sides of the tent to provide enough air flow while achieving negative pressure
• A gehto ass rv in wall air-conditioned sitting on the floor next to the grow tent blowing cold air into the tent (this unit is causing me so much feckin headache I want it gone asap)
• Box fan for airflow as well as two small clip fans to circulate air in the grow room.

Thats about it for the grow setup. Using general hydro flora trio as well as the nutrient feeding chart for coco supplied by growweedeasy. Using calmag as well.

Plans for the eminent future are getting rid of that fecking air conditioner. Possibly implementing a co2 bag to give the plants a little boost. Then i hope to expand with more tents for a perpetual grow.

I suppose end game is a diy dwc setup with full spectrum LED lights. Think thats what I'm aiming for in the end since it has so many benefits so long as its executed well.

if anyone has recommendations for a "full spectrum" led grow light will similar or equivalent light penetration and coverage as a 1000 watt mh or hps. Would be nice if power draw and heat output is lower. But not entirely sure whats out there.

Hi Griffeth , I am also a first time grower and I also based my set up on Nebula's tutorials and grow set up articles and your set up looks to be a very well researched to me. I see your box fan but I cannot really see the little clip fans. Are the clip fans oscillating? For a tent that size I would probably want a couple of larger oscillating fans or a 4 small oscillating fans (one in each corner). I have a 4x4 tent and I used one larger oscillating fan I hung from the top of my tent and a small clip fan so that all of the leaves would rustle a bit from time to time. I also rotate my plants every time I water/feed. You can probably play it by ear and as your plants grow see how you feel the circulation of air is with the set up you have now but I feel air circulation is an important factor in my first grow.

What kind of plants are your growing and how many (looks like six)?

I think there are some LED strip users on this forum who can probably share some of their experiences.

Thanks for your input. After growing in the tent for almost 2 weeks now I completely agree the tent needs more air moving around. The clip fans that are in the tent aren't in view on the picture I took. Two 6 inch clip on fans one at the top right front of the tent and another on the top left in the rear of the tent. Hard to see with the ducting in the way.

Currently in this grow its bag seed as a test grow however my seeds just arrived not long ago for the next grow. Currently have White widow fem, white widow auto, amnesia fast fem, blue dream fem, bruce banger fem, gorilla glue #4 fem, and finally silver haze og fem. Looking forward to the future grows.

Man i don't know why you'd want to change other than cost and heat from them. I think that's a great set up you got excellent size for those pots and 4 in 7gal. i'd get over a pound from that. What and why would you want to change?

Looking to make small adjustments really. Like said in the post I would like to switch the lighting setup to led at some point for the better efficency and lower heat.

Currently I believe this setup is more than capable. But always looking to improve and learn more from other more experienced people.

I only have 2 items in my tent - COB light and a small oscillating fan.

After doing some more looking around at grow setups I am planning to move the grow tent to a better space so that I can climate control outside the tent to provide more floor space inside the tent.

Sadly this first ones just a test grow of some bag seed. Expecting them to be hermies.

However my new seeds just arrived not long ago for the next grows. Currently have White widow fem, white widow auto, amnesia fast fem, blue dream fem, bruce banger fem, gorilla glue #4 fem, and finally silver haze og fem. Looking forward to the future grows.
