    First time cloning question

First attempt at cloning. Took 4 cuts, 3 have developed into plants, one is dragging along. The 3 that look healthy, also have small pre-flowers with hairs growing out of them. This is at each leaf node where you would expect a shoot to start forming. It appears that the plants are going directly into flower. Is this normal? Did I wait to long to take the cuts? Will the plant revert to veg state? I'll keep them going to see what happens. Looking for insight.

Yes they will go back to veg. Use 18/6 time with them. I've taken clones from a flowering plant and ones near flower same thing happened. May add 2wks or so to the grow but hey........you got free plants great job.

I’ve grown plants from bag seed many times that I didn’t think would be too great then they surprised me during flower so I took cuts. Right now they’re still in the ‘wtf just happened stage’ They’ll eventually go back to veg just keep them at 18/6.

Once you start cloning and get it down you will not use seeds again unless starting new strains. Good luck just be gentle and patient. Some take a week to root. What kind of cloner are you using?

Beginner here, too. Took a bunch of cuttings from my bag seed ladies as soon as they showed up as ladies - about 3 weeks into flower - and all 8 (4 from each) made it and are healthy, even if they are still a little weird-looking. I grabbed 6 more - from my defoliation garbage - and as of this morning, all 6 of those are rooted. There were some errant tries at buds, but I nipped them and put them under 18/6 and no ill effects.

One of the second batch was accidentally hooked out of it's coco-pod by my leopard robe sleeve 2 days after it was started. I cussed and jammed it back in the pellet with no fanfare.
It rooted fine, but that one that likes it rough now, lol.

          Follow up-

3.5 weeks into the clone. One of the plants is about 6 or so inches tall with 7 fan leaves coming from the stem. This is the place (where the fan leaves form) that I would expect shoots to form, but there are only pre-flowers. If this were a seed, I would be topping it now. My intent for this clone is to go into high stress training to manifold it into 8 main stems. But there are no shoots to grow! Will they come later so let it grow and top further up? Should I top it now anyway and shoots will appear? Looking for the experience of those who have done this before. No need to re invent the wheel right?
