    Hermes early detection?

As I've been smoking the test bud I cut off of a plant to see if she was ready I kept noticing odd little pieces I'm not used to seeing in my bud. When I harvested her lastnight I discovered some half grown seeds in the bud and realized that had been what I was seeing all along.

I didnt notice any signs of hermies on my plants during general care but having 6 girls crammed into a 4x4 space probably didnt help with that.

Are there any tricks to spotting these when they first begin to form, or should I resign myself to spending a good deal of time examining each plant in the future to catch them before they pollinate?

Buy feminized seeds if you can. If not, you need to keep a close eye on your girls (?) about 1 - 2 weeks after switching to flowering. This is good info: https://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabi...ermies-bananas

You are on the right track. Probably a bit of stress caused a few male flowers to appear but using solid genetics and keeping an eye it for it is as much as you can do to prevent this from happening again.

yeah my next round will be feminized seeds, these came from a cali dispensary and the particular breeder "believes nonfeminized seeds have better genetics" (wheres an eyeroll emoji when you need one). thankfully my feminized seeds i got during seedsmans april sale have since arrived and are just waiting for enough tent space to get planted.

but yalls comments bring another question to mind, are feminized seeds less prone to herm from stress than normal seeds?

I would argue feminized are more prone to hermie.
