    Time to start training?

Im into week 3 of most of my plants. 1/3 are autos. I know not to cut the autos, but can they be bent to give better yields or is this pointless? Heres some pictures.Out of the 26 plants my only white widdow is still in peat pellet with head barely peaking out of soil for a week now.

They are looking like they need more light, very light green in color.

I'm a newbie but do those metal cans have airflow? How is our heat? And yeah is say more light. Looks like a difficiency going on with those tips and color. Maybe nitrogen? I had a plant looking yellow and leaves were not wide like that one you have in the metal can. It was allot of heat issue. I used a little epsom in my feed and life is looking up. Keep posting if you figure it out.

Everything is in a tent, which has fans circulating the air plus an Airbrush system as well. The metal cans, are actually 1 gallon water bottles with plenty of holes for drainage on the bottom. I did it like this as a temporary fix until I get my shed up and the BIG tent assembled. Right now I am stuck for space with a 2x4x5 grow tent. You will notice 12 of the plants are much older, and the other 16 are much younger. That's because when I planted seeds to replace the ones I cooked, at the time after 5 days never germinated, and planted more which was when I saw the living plants having issues and found out after getting my PH tester and supplies that I had PH issues, and once fixed, the new seeds took off, and the ones I thought dead came to life as well giving me more plants than I had originally planned for. I want to start training them, even the autos if possible for better yield. Once I get the autos out of the way, I'll have more space for my other plants.

Light, air, everything is fine. They have 3 1200w light panels in a 2x4 space. What your seeing is the aftermath of a PH problem. One water supply was supplying 8.2, while the other was supplying 4.6. Three days ago most of the plants looked like the yellow ones. Most are green, and the few with the brown edges, is nute burn caused by me accidentally using wrong sprayer that is nutrient based. I Keep 2 sprayers. One with nutrients, other plain h20 but with peroxide mixed in. The plants you see that are yellow, were the ones that were almost dead. They also seem different from my other plants as the leafs are more thicker than my others. Plant 14 Pinapple Kush, Plant 16 Pinapple Kush, Plant 23 Neville Haze, and Plant 10 Big Bud auto are the remainder of the 26 plants to recuperate from Disaster. Before I even found out the PH was way off, some other matters happened, like thermostat breaking and killing 48 seedlings as the seeds got cooked, Then there was an issue with some seed strains, Purple Hulk, Sour Grape, AK47, and White Widdow Max. Those 4 even after the PH and heat issue fix wouldn't germinate, and the few that did died. I thought it was me, but turned out the seller actually had an issue and gave me over 100 free seeds to make up for it. So even though I did kill over $600 in seeds, I'm not complaining because the seller at least made good on his part and I'm still way ahead in seeds. The only one that I'm giving main priority to is my Girl Scout Cookie. With the free seeds, he gave me 2 and I grew only one just in case and it is extremely strong. It survived the heat, the PH issue, the watering issue, and not once got sick. Whoever made this strain, did an awesome job. I want to start training my regular plants. The autos, not sure if they can be trained.

I was starting to train some plants when I noticed something strange, strange because I been running lights 24/7 since I started and noticed several plants had buds that shouldn't have unless I had switched to shorter lighting or they were autos too. As it turned out, the seller sent me autos on my Pineapple Kush that was not supposed to be Auto so after looking at the space and realizing that I have other plants needing transfer to pots shortly, I would end up with a complete mess before 3 weeks from now so halted the training part until the plants get taller, and I get my new grow room large enough for everything.

        I cut,bend, twist,shape & extreme defoliate my autos....with great success...

        I start from the beginning...

You have buds already...just bend over and tie off...no problems with that...just don't top them it's too late..

The autos I won't top off, my GSC I might(GSC is Fem only). I guess the lucky part about some of the plants being autos, I wont have to worry about them being male.

Go look at my trim or not to trim post I asked the same thing a few weeks back and got excellent feed back check it out. The biggest thing I can suggest is dont be scared to really get in there and trim and form those plants the way you want them. I'm finding more and more these plants are very forgiving and can bounce back very fast. Happy Growing friend.

Because almost half my plants are autos with buds showing, I started feeding them Beastie Bloomz a little early. I reduced the amount from 1/2 teaspoon per gallon to 1/8 teaspoon for 2 gallons, mostly because its been a week since they got the most hated (MG) and didn't want to risk nuteburn. I Also noticed something that was awesome. After I mixed the 2 gallons, I let it sit an hour open then took a PH reading. Whatever is in Beastie Bloomz, handles my PH issue where I did not have to use any ph down this time. It was exactly at 6.5ph. Cant get any better.
Now for my question, because I have autos in my tent with regulars, I don't want to throw my regular plants into bud mode. Do I need to lower the light for the auto plants or is it ok they sit in the same tent with my regulars at 24/7 light? Using 3 1200w LED light panels. Actually, make that two. One got wet accidentally so removed it from the tent which is a 2x4x5.

And a thanks Stealth_b0nger and Green75 for your insight and help.

What you have to remember with regs is they have the potential to triple their size when kicked into flower(just a heads up). While regs can handle the 24 7 regime they do best at 18 6. But listen to the plants they will tell you what they are feeling.

I've done alot of research on light schedules. This is always a debate among growers. You have some that say 24 7 is best you have some that say 20 4 is best or even 18 6. After the little experience that I've had and the tremendous amount of research this was my conclusion: there isnt a living thing on this planet that doesn't take some form of rest. (To include plants). With that being said your plants will tell you what they like and what they don't like. if you feel 24 7 is working for you and your situation then do it to it.

I'm too poor for gel so thank gosh that cannabis is a beast at surviving!

I just ordered 1 gal pots tall version to transfer all me 2liter plants to plus ones left in solo cups. I ended up splurging for rooting gel too. Giving it a few more days to for my plants to mellow out a little. The Bloomz food is actually doing great with the Miracle grow liquid I mentioned in another post. All my plants are catching up and growing fast. Two showed slight nute burn so next feeding I'll most likely leave them out. Going into the 4th week now and trying to determine the sexes on the older plants. Have not seen any tail tale signs but then again, 3 of my 6 pineapple Kush turned out to be autos that slipped into the regular seeds and those are showing regular buds. I was reading up on the sexing of plants and read the part about getting the cuttings to go into bud state. Question is, once I do this, and weed out the males, can I force that cutting back into veg mode putting it back into the 24/7 light?

I just got a nice surprise that has totally threw me off. I'm at 27 plants instead of 25. My daughter pointed out that she saw something in a bag that looked like plants and what it actually was, was 4 peat pellets that I had moved out of the way because they were supposed to be dead. I had planted them in the middle of December and put a bag over them to keep humidity inside which was before I had gotten the growing trays. I had put them aside three weeks ago after verifying the seeds never taken root and two of the 4 started growing a month later. One good one and one sick one of White Widow Max. I just gave them a tiny bit of nutrients and will keep an eye out to see if they continue growing. Looks like they sprouted a few days ago from the size. I also sprayed mold deterrent on them because the seeds that failed were mold contaminated from the seller which was the main reason the above ones never grew to begin with, other than my screw-ups. Now I just hope at least if they survive that one will at least be female. If not, will use them to cross with another hybrid.

Quick question. My autos have taken over my grow tent and with the delay of my shed am running out of options. The autos are about to hit the lights so wondering if I bend them so they can keep growing, will they damage my other plants. 27 in a 2x4 tent. If I bend them over they will most likely grow like ivy but will they choke off the other plants they snake through? Like they tend to do root wise if sharing the same flower pot.

Before and after photos. Wouldn't believe how much these plants can grow in just 5 days. Was just looking at my post on the 13th above and compared the pictures to the 20th which was shortly after transfering to one gallon pots. Was not much growth till a week ago and now can barely see the pots their in let alone their identification tags. Had the tall ones not been autos I would of cut the tops down and cloaned them.
