SOIL Soil PH - Please Help

    Fellow cannabis lovers,

This has been my first grow, and I decided to use Miracle-Gro Organic soil as my medium.
She was doing just fine until recently when she started to turn yellow. After testing the soil, I figured out this was due to high PH.
I have been trying to lower it with Hydroponic PH down, and other fox farm nutes mixed into tap water. I test the water using the Hydroponic kit, and try to get around a 5 as I’m trying to lower the soil pH.
It has been a few weeks, and I just tested the soil again, but it is still high. It even appears that the needle in the Ph tester has not moved at all
Therefore, I’m asking for some help, and wondering if should I continue to drop the pH of the water I’m using? Or what should I do?

    any help would be appreciated
    thank you in advance

Morning! I am new and on my first ever grow, I’m growing inside. I started off like with miracle grow organic, and after 2 weeks it stopped growing. After advice from here, I repotted them into what we have here is Tomarite for Tomatoes, 60% Soil 40% Perlite. They have excelled and now I’m in bloom stage. I am NEW this has been my experience I am learning everyday. Wait for the experienced guys to come in. Good luck

What I have read on hydro chems is they do not do well in soil, I dont use them. I use pelleted sulfur for PH down and buffer that with pelleted Dolomite stirred into the soil. The sulfur mixes with water and forms sulfuric acid to take the PH down, the plants will move things around in the soil and the Dolomite is for PH up together they buffer each other for a perfect PH..
