    HELP! Mars Hydro TSW2000

Hi all and thank you for all the informative posts I have read here.
I really hope someone can help me with my question as I’ve scoured online and can’t find anything.
    Well here it goes.......
I bought a Mars Hydro TSW2000 as the TS1000 was not in stock in the UK now the TSW2000 light is oversized for my little grow tent which is 2.6x2.6x5.3ft the light is drawing 310w at the plug.
The light recommends that in the seedling stage the light needs to be at a distance of 24” above the seedling to cover an area of 5.5x5.5 as it has two boards and both drivers are dimmable should I be leaving it at 100% at 24” or reducing the drivers to 50% and dropping the light to 12” as my tent is half the size of the 5.5” the manufacturer says it is rated for?
in flowering I should be ok running at 100% on both boards as it covers a 3x3ft area.
i would greatly appreciate any help in regards to this stressful encounter and hopefully help others that are researching the same.

    Stay Safe and High

You want to keep it a good ways above the canopy for now. You would have to do some calculations if you dim the lights as to how high you hang them.

      Hi Flashkash,
Heard good things about the newer MH lights and I am using 2 sp250's in my 4x4 tent.
      As to your question:
I would probably leave it 24" above and dim it to 50% for the 1st week or so and then gradually turn it up as the plants grow and get used to that much light.
It is easy to stress out those young plants. Don't know if I would ever go to 12 inches even in flower. You will have to play with the lights and the height over the plants to find the sweet spot as you grow. I like to err on the side of caution and little plants can get fried easily.
You should be able to grow some great flower with that much light.

Thanks for the advice, I did err on the side of caution and reduce to 50% @24” as they have just been moved from germ to final pots (4x Devil Cream Auto). Will monitor regularly and adjust as necessary. Would be useful though if manufacturer did provide some insight and recommendations on the dimming side of things.

Those Devil cream Auto's from Sweet Seeds?
If so great as they have a good reputation as a breeder. I grew a real nice Cream Caramel that I am hording for special occasions. Had 3 oz's but down to a half left.
