    SOIL Soil ratio?

Planning for my next grow and soil is first on the list.
I'd like to make my own and from what I've read, I think I'd like 20% compost, 40% perlite and 40% soil (Not sure what type would be good). I wanted to use 20% compost so the plant could get a healthy dose of nutrients for a while in the vegatative state. What do you guys think?

soil is such a big word not the true word to grow plants in pots rather medium
if new I'd suggest you use Fox Farm ocean forest with 30% perlite added ..its very hot and needs dilution
add even moire perlite (50%) if you intend to serve your plants nutes thru the various stages of growth

FFOF can be re used in later grows with minimal additions, like add another 25% sack

imo avoid soil as in dirt its got to much bacteria leading to much hassles later

    good luck
