A few months ago one of my exhaust fans finally quit working so after some research I replaced it with a Infinity AC unit with the temp/humidity control. Well the new fan worked so good I replaced my other fans as well. Everything was peachy until yesterday. On Wednesday we had our 20yr old heating cooling 3ton unit replaced with a new 4ton unit. Well without thinking about it life continued as normal, the new unit was working great and our bedroom was actually as cool as the rest of the house. It’s South facing so its always been a little warmer. Well when I got home from work yesterday evening it smelled like someone had run over a skunk and dragged it through our house! The new unit had the temp and humidity so low in my grow room that all the exhaust fans had shut off and the house was f’ng rank!!! Needless to say, all of my fans are now set to ON, not AUTO. I’m just thankful I beat the kids home so I was able to remedy the situation before they figured out dad’s hobby🙏🏻

When we bought our house the basement was completely unfinished. My first project I built a grow room at the end of a long 10ft wide storage closet with a secret door. My only regret is not putting a damn sink in there because that would’ve made life so much easier. Over 15yrs and only three people know what goes on in the back of that closet, my wife, my best friend and his dad (they’re both growers)

“With a secret door” sounds fucking awesome😁

It’s sounds cooler than it is lol my design is pretty simple but it’s managed to do the job. I basically just built a wall framed out for a door. I built the door out of studs so it looked like the wall plus I could hang insulation and drywall on it for the soundproofing. On the side facing the storage closet I mounted a shelf to the door about 1/8” off the floor so it all can swing. Only thing is it’s heavy so I have to replace the hinges every few years.

Still fucking cool 😁
Though I’m a little happy I never have to do this when I have kids. Must be quite a job to have made

and my pop says 'why not have a drain in the center of the floor.?
I dithered about it for some time,
but I just knew he'd be on my case about it so a week later I finished this horrid task,
and many times have been very grateful(pun?) for it ...lol
