    Outdoor autos 11 weeks

    Hi
im a first time grower and managed to get my sanfran sour dough’s to 12 weeks and for some reason are all at different stages. We’ve had really sunny weather the last month but are now forecast wind and rain for the next few weeks. Am I better harvesting now or let them take a battering for the next few weeks and hope they don’t get bud rot. Any suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks

I’ve grown autos in Scandinavia for many seasons, personally I would not harvest them now.
can you make a “shelter” for them while the rain days are coming?
they will still mature in cloudy days, but not as fast as we want too.
Just because people are over 50 doesn’t mean they know everything.

you look like you were in a very similar situation to me. I have the same weather forcast too so I decided to cut mine and hang them too dry, I think a little too early but for me It beats them being in the rainy wind for 2 weeks and all the buds getting soggy

        Can you bring them inside?

Thanks for the reply’s, I can’t bring them inside, I’ve made a small shelter but now stick out like a sore thumb. I was hoping they’d be ready by now but don’t want to risk cutting them early for weak smoke. Thanks for the advise, would anyone have a guess at how many more weeks they’d have to go. Temperatures about 17 degrees and not set to change much for a while. Cloudy and drizzly will they progress in these conditions of just stop and slowly die as autos and breeder says 8-9 weeks!
          Thanks again

Outdoors autos always tend to have a longer flower period.
Ally my autos are outside, and they usually have a month more than if I’ve growed them inside in a tent with 18/6 or 24/0

Well now that's something I didn't even think would do to my autos that are not flowering yet. Never crossed my mind that it would slow flowering do to out door. Maybe that's why my outdoor autos are not in flower yet and they are approaching 6wks. I went ahead and put 2 of them into my flowering tent because I need to and 1 I left outdoors still. Gotta say though they are the biggest vegged autos I've grown so far??

I think in my experience- it’s the plants don’t receive the same amount of light - as they do inside in a tent fx.
If you run 24/0 in a tent, they have no rest period, and outside they have at least most of the night which is dark

Thank you CaptainWiese91 they did go from tent to out door roof top about 16days ago I think? I left 1 out there and 2 back in my 18/6 flowering tent for the other autos in there flowering. I tell ya i'm thinking I may have a boy in the group honestly..i had one last year outdoor could be same strain as last summer. These were just off ball auto seeds leftover but from good breeders. So i'm kinda at a cross roads with them. I'm 7-10days from other auto harvest in there and really don't want to flip 12/12 but I will if I don't see anything happening in next few days. Bums me out

6 weeks without flowering as you mentioned is quite a bit. I would be suspicious 🤔🤔.
But a boy auto flower? Or you mean just a photo boy actually?
My opinion don’t flip to 12/12, put it outside and “let it do it’s natural thing” and make a new one for the tent maybe ?
Have a sweet skunk auto, 2-3 weeks from finish outside. And just discovered bud rot in the top, the most fattest cola, so I just cut it off today🤦🏼 But I let the rest of the plant finish. Just without the fattest cola 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼

But some autos strains grow really vigorous. I had one Royal cheese auto - Outdoors and if was 70 cm in height, before it entered flowering phase. Biggest auto I ever had and the biggest yield of 1 single plant. So I do believe you can achieve big auto plants in the veg stage, for sure 😊

SoOrbudgal today my 6x fat banana auto is 21 days old. Look in my log book. And 3 of them starter to flower today, small white pistils 😅. I expected a week more for veg grow. So I’m pretty suspicious on how big they will grow 🤔🤔. They could have been bigger, I don’t know what I’m getting here 😂

Well I tucked them indoors 1 is on 24hr other 2 18/6 i'm waiting for my 3 folgers autos to be cloudy with a few amber should be less than a week hope? Then I will put all 3 stalled ones in there. My pantry is not so full right now, really counted on these flowering by a month into them but looks like i'm going to run out possible before they cure. I'm hopefull they will get the groove going.

It should work when you replace them with the stalled ones and they will get some good amount of light 👍🏻
But are you considering to change the to 12/12 if they don’t flower ? You do you see some pistils on them ?
