Help: Leaves getting white/discoloured spots around the edges

    Hi,
This is my first grow, plant is about 6 weeks from germination and otherwise looks fine. Has developed some whitespots around the edges of most leaves. I first noticed about 2 weeks ago.

I am growing hydroponically using canna nutrients, more or less following the canna aqua grow guide for nutrients (see photo). In a ventilated cabinet with LED lights. the plant is growing in a mix of vermiculite and perlite.

I don't see any evidence of mites or bugs.

Is this a problem? What should I be doing that I am not?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

IMO early nute burn mix a few feeds IMO but being in vermiculite could be very difficult indeed

try a flush of pouring 3 times the pot volume of air temp ph'ed water thru the pot allow to drain over night to continue in the morning

no nutes for 14 days or until you see some upside

    good luck

          Leca! Much better than perlite!
Perlite is fine, but Leca balls is just Better even 2-3 times better,
Makes the drainage a lot better and give a lot of oxygen to the roots also 👍🏻

Vermiculite helps with drainage like perlite.

          I thought vermiculite retained water?

I am wrong you are right about retention, but it's also lightens the heavy soil. Mix with poor clay soils lightens the medium. I wish I had a truck load of it to mix into my raised beds. So easy to turn soil over.

My cat knows this too she pisses on vermiculite and her pee disapears even vanishes thats what its sold as...
using in a vermiculite x perlite mix is dumb!
as the perlite soon floats to the stop leaving vermiculite water logged sitting on the bottom of the pot
not just water logged but NUTE logged too like nute loaded peat that very difficult to clean up any nute burn,
the above recipe is for nute burnt soil
it may work ...may not best I MO move to quality soil soon as poss.

          good luck

Is this something I can fix, by just re-potting into coco - or has that ship sailed?
