PPM rising

I am anew grower and in the home stretch of my first grow. I am in week 7 of the flowering stage and using a RDWS. What I am seeing is that my PPM counts keep climbing on there own. I changed the water and started at around 1500 PPMs. After a couple of days the PPM count goes to over 2000. What I have been doing is to add just Ph adjusted water and that brings it back down. But once again after a couple of days the counts are back over 2000. I have two ways to measure the PPMs and both readings are the same. Any thoughts? I am so close to the end I just don't want to blow it.

If your ppms are going up and the water is going down then they are drinking more than they are eating. This typically means you are over feeding. It is normal at the end of flowering for the plant to need less nutes and that may be what it is trying to tell you. A pic in natural light would be helpful so we can see the maturity of the plant. Also, what is the estimated flower time for the strain?

They are the Blue Dream strain. I have not had this issue until the last two weeks. the flowering time is 9 weeks. I will try and post some pictures. Lately I have been adding just plain water that has had its Ph adjusted. I think you are correct but why would the PPMs climb if I am just adding water with no nutes. I have been using hydroguard and I read that using this product may cause the PPMs to climb. Have you heard of this?

I use hydroguard and have no issues. I have found ppm fluctuations happen in the last couple weeks and have heard things from plants releasing starches close to harvest to a buildup of salts on the rootball. I cant say why it does it but i have noticed that it does happen close to harvest. I saw the theory about hydroguard but if that were the case it would have risen from the very beginning of the grow not just at the end as i use hydroguard the entire grow. As long as your plants look normal (though close to harvest the leaves can and do sometimes change color) i would not worry and just follow the nute schedule you have unless you have noticeable issues.
