It depends on lots of things??
what type of grow do you have ?
what about your medium? And plants stage of health?
what brand of nutrients are you talking about ?
both the “hi quality nutrients” and the calcium and phosphorus? Or are they organic ?
Just because people are over 50 doesn’t mean they know everything.
You can teach a old dog new tricks - But it will still think the old ways are the “best” lol

Like CaptainWiese91 says it depends a lot on what your grow is. In coco, extra cal-mag is suggested but it also depends on what nutes you are using.

FYI Nutrients are like vitamins for plants. Sure you could take more than you need but either it wont do anything or it will make you sick. Light is food for the plant so more light will increase yields.

Rule of thumb is if you dont see deficiencies then you are probably doing fine with the nutes you have.
