    Ready?

I've been waiting for some distinctly amber trichs to show up but doesn't seem to be happening. Only the uppermost buds have hairs left. Possible light stress? This is a gelato. Think it's time to pull the trigger on this one?

They look to be starting to foxtail. How long have they been in flower. Looks like the harvest window might have come and gone now it's confused about what to do. Let us know abit more about the setup.
Vegging 4 aurora indica, waiting on seeds. Got eyes on a 4x8x8 tent.
    sp150x2 philz330 and Philz 100x2
    4 plants currently under 500w
    2 x opulent systems 4x4x80 tents and a 24x40x48 baby box.
GH full line of nutes+calmag and my molasses sugar brown sugar liquid mix at 30ml per liter.
    Happy growing/consuming đŸ„Ž

Foxtail for sure. To close to the light or too hot.
then you don’t need to look at all the new “hairs” look at the old calyx and and the trichomes there. They will be more mature than all the new it’s made.
Just because people are over 50 doesn’t mean they know everything.
You can teach a old dog new tricks - But it will still think the old ways are the “best” lol

When I zoom in on the plants - I would harvest them. But for sure if you looking at all the new pistils and the trichomes there, they will never be ready.
it’s a reaction from the plant, because it’s stress and all that is why it’s making “new buds” on the buds.

Just as a follow up, I've harvested these plants. Dried and semi cured them. I can tell you that the fox tailing did not hurt the potency at all. I don't normally smoke bud just vape it with a yocan ishread. Not the best of vapes I know. To test this batch I took a good draw from a 1 hitter. I waited a few minutes and then got up took a few steps and literally passed out momentarily. As in blanked out, fell on my ass and hit my head on a carpeted floor. My tailbone still hurts. Wife made me take my blood pressure which was normal. Maybe a bit low for me. Feedback from friends was that it extremely powerful and one said it made him dizzy initially but the buzz was a blend of high and low and he wants more. I likened the high to eating an edible and being too high for too long. I was high all day. Might the potency be a reaction to the stress?
Ahh the adventures of cannabis. Keep on learning.

smoorman you may of had low BP or held your breath too long? These newer strains are stronger than old seedy Mexican we use to get 40yrs ago. My hubby has low tolerance he ate one of my brownies and smoked 1/2 doobie I had to walk him upstairs. Take it easy now you'll know. It's not fun at all anymore being older and overbaked we don't like the feeling.

I'm fine. Since that episode I've taken a few 20 mile non-stop bike rides with no problems. I know what you mean about overbaked. I'd never smoke half a doob especially after an edible. And let me tell you, I am experienced. Started messing with this (drugs in general) around 1968 and I daresay I've tried them all. I did take a 35 year breather in there to get a life but when I retired it coincided with MI's new cannabis laws.
So here I am. 12 plants deep.

haha smoorman we have quite a similar story and I have 10 plants on the go. Although I will probably keep working for a couple more years anyway.
but ya! This growing thing is addictive.

I moved to CA in 07 and worked there 12 years while renting my house here. Couldn't wait to get back. Especially since my wife retired 1 year before me. Oh, and my comment about doing them all, almost all. Never did crack. Speaking of being high. Anybody ever don aluminized full body fire gear and walk into pit with a 30ft wall of flames to rescue a sandbag from an old A7 cockpit? After having smoked some original thai stick?
          That's exciting.
