As of last Saturday I am starting into week 12 of flower. Yesterday, my son was over and I asked him to take a look at the girls. Sometimes two sets of eyes are better than 1. According to his expertise (since he grows outdoors) I had 1 that was "ready", so It came down this morning. The others are "anytime this week", watch the trichomes!!! I just want a touch of amber, not very much and they aren't quite there but he does know that some don't turn amber, so now it's my call. I don't think I will get to week 13 (the end of the window) so I think this week all may be coming down. It's like a roller coaster, you get to the top of the big hill and just before you drop over, that's were I would like these to be!!!
P.S. Just to see if there was any proof or difference to harvesting in the early am (before 1st light or when my lights come on) or daytime (before noon) and I have done it both ways in the past (which I didn't notice any difference then) I am trying the "comparison test" to see if there is ANY difference. I do know this is a controversial subject, but IF I was outdoors I would want a nice clear sunny day (at least to what I read here on this site for outdoor growers, which to me, contradicts harvesting). I cut my 2nd one down at 9:30 (three 1/2 hrs after I did my 1st one at 6:00am) just to see what will happen. Let the experiment begin...
