Some questions for V450 users. I’m a long time HPS grower and I recently bought a V450 for a tent I’m growing autos in since a lot of people rave about this light. I’m wondering what’s a good height for this light and what kind of coverage/how many plants can be grown under this light. When I had my light at 24” or even 20” the plants seemed to reach up wanting more light so I moved it down to 18” since the manufacturer recommended that height for flowering. The plant seemed happy at that height then with no warning, the tops of all my plants got fried so I moved it back up to 24”. This light’s coverage also seems weak to me. Growth directly under the light seems much better that of the same plant that isn’t directly under the light. Any suggestions?

I've had one of these for a little over a year. I keep it about 12 inches above the tops until the tops stretch into it and above it. I only use it for flowering. Hydroponics only.Focus and relativity.

Is that with both switches on (veg&flower) or just the flowering? I keep both on and at 18” it completely fried the tops of all my plants. Thankfully the buds are ok, just missing the sparkle but all the leaves were completely fried brittleLast edited by bboyfromwayback; 05-06-2020, 11:46 AM.

Yes. Both switches on. In fact I've heard it's not a good idea to run with only one on and I know the fans only run with them both on. I originally envisioned 2 of them in 1m x1m x2m tent but not so sure about that now. Do you grow hydro ?
