    Mosquito larvae in reservoir

    Hi,

I have mosquito larvae in my reservoir. I emptied it yesterday and there are about 1/3 as many in there today as there was yesterday.

    Any tips anyone?

Mosquito Bits are what I use in my bird baths. Used to use for fungus gnats before I learned prevention. Soil grower.

It could be because your res temp is a bit high? What is the temperature at normally?

As for getting rid of them, there are some natural ways to get rid of them on this page: https://www.peststrategies.com/pest-...s/kill-larvae/

I always thought water had to be stagnant to support mosquito larvae?

It does. Perhaps they need more air in the res?

IDK, I might just toss a gold fish or 2 in the tank! I dont do hydro!
Not stagnant but standing water (no motion) is a breading ground for these blood suckers!
