HELP! Photos mistaken for Autos .. Need advice on rest of grow

    Hey all,

I made my first post yesterday about the state of my plant asking for advice. Well today I just realized that these ladies are photoperiods and I was working under the assumption that they were autos this entire time. I'm at the end of week 7 and I want to know if I should switch to 12/12 today or let these ladies recover from their cal/mag deficiencies for another week before?

They are only showing a few signs of pistols and have been on a 18/6 light schedule the entire grow. Please let me know if I should switch to 12/12 today or wait another week! Also, how long till the end of this grow once I switch to 12/12?

First time growing.. Yes it looks like it's starting! It's been on an 18/6 light schedule and this is where I got the seeds from: https://i49.net/product/purple-haze-fem/

Will photos start to flower at all if on a 18/6? Or are these actually autos? Obviously I'm not too experienced lol.

The seeds in the link you provided are photoperiod I believe. I've never had or heard of photoperiod plants flowering with an 18/6 schedule. Autoflowers will start flowering much sooner than 7 weeks. I'm not real sure what you have going on.

OK so I fucked up by mistaking these for auto's.. I don't have much room to grow higher at all. How should I move forward? How do I prevent the main stem from growing any higher during the flowering period?

Purple Haze weed seeds have put a spell on cannabis enthusiasts since the 1960s. This beautiful and delicious Sativa strain is the ultimate mood-booster.

These are the seed's I'm pretty sure I have.. Bought them in Feb and the domain of the local seller in my country has been seized lol.

At that point I’d assume they sent you the wrong seeds.. because in my experience the only time a plant goes into flower without a light change is when it’s an auto.. and your plant is in flower and your asking if you should switch it to flower.. so that tells me you have an auto..
if I were you going forward I’d assume they are autos which is a good thing.. unless you plan on cloning either way it’s to late

Nope don't plan on cloning, just want a harvest! Yeah up until today I thought they were auto's but checking back on the website it doesn't mention auto on that page, only that they are feminized. They have been pretty stressed from the cal/mag deficiency that they went through.. So 12/12 or stick with the 18/6?

Just cut the lights to 12/12s they'll bust out, 14/10s might work well also.

Yup switching to 12/12 today - no problem with that. My only concern is height - is it too late to supercrop or use any other techniques to control height? If these plants double in height they will definitely grow into the light.

Tie em down, bend em over, break em over, lots of options.

In general with autos you don’t have to switch the light that’s the positive of autos.. if you want to keep the height down only option now is to super crop her.. but like 1/4 the way down.. and gently need to squeeze the stem... till it falls over.. after that gently bend her over you don’t want the stem to break that will keep your height in check

Plants are around 26" and I'll have to get pretty creative with how to raise this light if these do in fact stretch quite a bit during flowering phase. Supercrop my main branch?

The top five inches... again don’t break just pinch softly till the inside structure breaks then gently bend plant over it should fall over
The picture below is an example of the result.. but this plant was much larger then yours and was more drastic

Thanks for your help! I supercropped 2/3 since my third has had some overwatering issues (permanently droopy leaves) and have switched these ladies to 12/12. The one picture is getting some purple edges on its top leaves, any idea why?

Despite what it looks, it is tied down with clear fishing line ! haha

              #12
Umm you should use plant ties not fishing line.. but as long as it’s loosely tied it might be ok
purple is sometimes normal depending on strain..
              what is the low temp?
you did a good job on super cropping (yes this is what I meant)

Sorry just working with what I have on hand lol. (loosely tied, see pic)
Low temp at night is 18-19 Celsius and day temps are 24-26. Strain is Purple Haze so that could explain the purple tips! Just wanted to double check I'm not running into more nutrient problems. Thanks for your advice so far Daskahn, really appreciate it!

Here's the purple that I'm talking about. It's only on one fan of leaves on one plant so far

Yeah I think the purple is due to the strain.. so your good on that
mad the plant grows keep an eye of your fishing line.. basically your stem can grow(get fatter) and the line may tighten and cut into it(if it’s to tight) but right now it’s ok
