    Pruned too much?

Hello, hope all is well with everyone! I am a new grower about to make my first harvest but I recently pruned my first and only plant. Was experiencing slow bud growth and the plant was just a giant bush so I pruned it to expose more light on all bud sites and for it to divert all energy onto the flowers. I’m about 4 weeks into flowering with at least 5 more too go. But I’m worried that I pruned it too much? Or is that not a real issue? After a couple days I think it has continued to grow some since. I do miss how it looked before.
    pictures and specs below:

    1000w HPS
    happy frog medium
    Nutrient water pH of 6.1
    7 gal smart pot
39” tall (top of soil to peak of stalk)
    age: 10.5 weeks
general hydroponics: bloom, rapid start, diamond nectar, armor-si.
Humboldt County: big up powder, snow storm ultra
    75-80 degrees lights on/ 55-65 lights off
    currently flowing between 35-45% humidity

You definitely exposed those buds to more light. Whether or not it was too much depends on your ability to give the plant what it wants before it wants it without going overboard. You don't have much room for error anymore as the plant has very little to work with if it has to start feeding off of itself and if you burn the few leaves you have left it won't be able to use the light for photosynthesis. Watering on time and feeding are more crucial now but it can definitely be done. As long as you can keep it healthy through the next few weeks even if you stumble then you'll be able to limp her across the finish line. If you keep her good and healthy all the way through you can expect a great yield of nice big buds and less larf.

Check out "Schwazzing" some guys apparently have it down to a science with the defoliation and nutrient schedules but they also want you to buy their nutrients.

Awesome! Thank you FunkyButtLovin for the comforting news! I’ll most defiantly continue to give it the best care I can. From the start my plan was to do everything right the first time to get the most out of my initial investment. Am excited for harvest. Strain is Sweet and Savory 90% indica (sour diesel & dosidos-X). The seed was given to me by my friend’s dispensary. Often get a few random ones but am focusing on 1 plant at a time. After harvest I’m looking to regenerate this outdoors in the middle of summer by letting it grow as tall as possible which should help with the regenerating process if it can grow much more than it’s current size while it being already a mature adult with good stress resistance. That’s another reason why I worried about it being too pruned lol but hey, thanks again! Stay safe and healthy ✌️
