You can flip them the same day if you want but it's recommended to give it at least a few days to recover. I like to give a couple of weeks of veg time after topping to actually get some good growth on the top branches then supercrop them to flatten the canopy back out then give a few days and then flip lol.
Never top in flower. -

I use a t-5 & 54watt CFL for seedlings
Sometimes i use plastic sometimes i use fabric grow containers
Currently using fish/guano during veg growth & FF Grow Big 6-4-4 teens to bloom. Once i see pre-flower i switch to
Age Old Organics Bloom 5-10-5

I recommend a minimal of a week.. but seeing how my training begins with topping I like to give at least two weeks autos are different however in that they tell you when it’s time to flower.. not you telling themComment
