after many mishaps (spidermites) and ph being in the high 7's i can finally say i am approaching week 7, i am going to allow an extra week or so for veg then its time to flower these girls. i have three plants that are almost ready for flower, as its going to be my first full flowering session im excited. so here is a run down of what has happend
during week 5 i noticed slow growth with odd marks on leafs, after help from you guys i figured out i had spider mites. used neem oil and arazol
week 6 used avid to kill all mites and eggs. by end of the week plants started to recover but noticed ph was not right. (7+ ph)
week 7 i corrected ph issues by a full flush of soil/coco mix (6gal of adjusted ph of 4.5-5.5) at the end of week i did a very watered down nut run (15% nuts to 85% water) no micros have been added waiting till next week.
on week 7 day 5 run off of ph is now ranging from 6.4 to a 7.3 depending on intake of plant and time of day.
any water added i have been adjusting to a ph of 5.5-5.9 to keep ph in the 6.4-7.3 range.
after this last water for week 7 with a ppm of 200-400 (water ppm is at a 150-225 range before any adjustments made) ill add light amounts of nuts to plants.
only problem i seem to have issues with is understand ppm: I have tested before and after of adding and i just cant seem to understand where i should be keeping this ppm range at. (chem dawg, quantium kush, kandy kush, LSD(not lemon sour de)) any help here would be great, also thanks in advance for the help.
also i have started monster crop the kandy kush as it is the tallest of the three plants and the thinnest of the three plants. I took some of the tallest branches and basically bent them until i either felt them pop or heard them pop, i then placed them around the sides of the plants and when the middle branches are ready ill be doing the same to those but placing them in the middle unless someone changes my mind on this. (3-4 branches where done) I also took a few clones (5) during week 6 which 4 of 5 are doing pretty well with new growth (growth that was started at cut is filled out now)? is that common or am i doing something wrong because no roots are seen yet as i approach week one (day 7 today), leafs are almost light in color or light/darkish in color with some weeping of leafs. vents are opened at half way, no heat pad yet as i can only afford so much at once. i spray the plants 2 times a day (right around time now (9-10am et) and then again at 8-9pm et. Lights are ran from 1800 to 1200pm next day (night time ran) any flowering will be from 6am to 6pm (day time ran to take advantage of darkness of night) or should i change this time so its not adjusting to the change when i go to flower ( I will be moving to flower room on day 6 of last week to allow plants to take advantage of the extra light being produced during the 12/12 since they are ran at different times, so on day 7 at 1800 those light will remain off until 0600 the next day)?
also need advise on when to add voodoo juice and how much per gal of mix:
from what i understand is to add 2 ml for first 2 weeks in veg and then last week of veg and first week of flower, is that correct?
I plan on switching to a mix of 85%coco and 15% roots organic from here and out so i will be changing how the medium will be from this run, so how should this feed schedule run, or should i add up an entire weeks of nuts then divide by the amount of times ill be watering/feeding them and disbursing them to be able to feed every time i water them?
--I am using 2 t-5 8bulb 4ft lights with one t-5 4 bulb 4ft light, I am planning on trying to pick up either a led light(s) or hid/mh kind of lights for the flower room (room is in progress of being built out now) I plan on staying with the t-5 lights (VEG only) or if i can pick up something that is more energy efficient and wont have my energy bill through the roof (reason why im looking into LED, a lot of positive reviews ive heard).
--Nut line is Advance nutrients line only with a heavy 16 foiler spray as needed (only when sick, ph imbalance, or when the plant is extremely stressed New mix made every time i would use). here is the full line up of what i use during the stages of veg and flower (flower nut line might change depending on how happy they are during the flowering time):Veg
Flower: flawlish flush will be used at flushing time
anything anyone may want to add change or suggest for my ingredients of my mix im open minded but i will not move away from AN as i am very fond of their product and feel comfortable with their product.
also here is specs of veg room (upgrades are still happening as i am making best with what i have) 2 4ft t58b 1 4ft t54b, exhaust is a 6" I.L.F(timer used off every 30mins during lights on, and off for 5 of 6 hours lights off), 3" bathroom exhaust fan pushing air in from rest of open speace (always running) (will be upgrading to either a 6" or 8" as both inline fans will be used to produce and pull air from 2 rooms veg and flower rooms) green lights used to enter rooms during dark time (only going in room to physically feel temp and check humidifiers). 24" long standup fan laid down on ground to push air flow on ground with 3 6" non moving fans blowing either at the t-5 lights or the outer walls to move air above plants and through the plants. 2 1/2 smart air pots for teens and 7gal smart air pots for final transplant. argro dome and tray with rockwool cubes for cloning (no solution used example:clonex) (first time cloning and want to see what works best) 3 small size humidifiers 2-1gal, and one 1/2 gal ( under 20 bucks or given to me) which one is only one during the time the lights are on and two are done by when 2 of the 6" fans are running (temp sensor ran) one 6" fan runs non stop. temps range from 74* to 83* and humidity from 40%-50%ish (veg room temps as im in progress of building flower room)
dam i just noticed i am running alot of shit that might not really be need to have if i just upgrade to bigger units/items or even add a cooling system to the room (veg room) this is that part i need the most help in as i am questioning and always question the room every day and readjust everything (OCD about air flow, temps and humidity). I am trying to create a negative pressure in both rooms so that they become sealed and i can introduce CO2 into my rooms. so the question is what should i start to upgrade? I will be adding the either 6" I.L.F or 8" by the time i go to flower so the 3" bathroom vent will be turned into a exhausted vent on the outside of the veg room as well, as this room has no window to cool the outer part of the closed room. veg room is a 6'x9'x7' and flower room will be a 11'x9'x7' with a small window that i can open in this room. I also have a dehumidifier which will be perfect to place in room to keep in bellow 45% at all times.
thanks in advanced guys, i cant thank you guys enough for the kind help and the amount of knowledge this site/forum has given me into this world. as my knowledge grows and learns new things i will be just as kind as you have been to share the tips you give. happy growing guys.
