    Older seeds

Are seeds ok for a long time if you keep them dark and dry.

They can be for many years, proper storage goes a long way toward keeping them viable for extended periods. Germination gets tougher the older they get.

I started a seed from Barney's Farms that was at least 5 years old. Started just like always, stuck it in a Rapid Rooter. The plants about 6 weeks into flower now. I think seeds last quite a while.
