I had my Wedding Cake infected with spider mites. It wasn't a serious infestation but I've seen pics of how bad it can get. Most places I browsed on the web suggested pesticide. Organic versions are available but I didn't want to be smoking even an organic pesticide residue!
Instead, I hauled the plant into the garage (indoor grow) and used a pressurized (pump up) garden sprayer filled with luke warm water and sprayed from the underside upwards because the fuckers lay eggs on the underside of the fan leaves. I then had to tie up the pland as it was now water logged and needed some support.
I then spread a layer of diamotaceous earth around the base of the pot and a layer on top of the soil. It all worked great and i was able to rid the plant of these pests.
Anyone else try this?
