Greetings, just transplanted my plant from the paper cup to a 1gal pot. Mostly it went very well. The paper cup made a nice mold with the medium but the bottom of it fell off tearing some roots as pictured. Would this be a major stressor to the young plant? Both old and new mediums were moist enough to comfort the transplant but unfortunately the tearing of the lower roots worries me. Thoughts? The plant is about 1 1/2 weeks in growing. The leaves look real nice to me. Did witness some potential WPM, but to be safe, I immediately cared for it with Green Cure I picked up at the grow store yesterday so that’s still on the way to full recovery but overall I think I’m doing pretty well, despite the tearing of roots that had just occurred. Any information/comments is very helpful. Thank you ✌️

Watch it closely if the leaves start dropping it's stressed. Usually it only lasts maybe a day then it will perk up. It should start showing stress fairly quickly after transplanting if it is stressed.

Thank you! Very comforting to hear. Am paranoid over the amount of roots that tore off which was almost half of it but I’d rather know if it’ll hold up or not very soon here. It’s been an hour since but so far I don’t see anything different. Am also very glad to hear about the time of recovery if anything does come up. Just looking for any sign of yellowing/wilting.
Thanks!

A little transplant shock is usually no big deal. I've got one who fell off for a few days & now is growing faster than the 2 who had a smooth transition. I've also got a clone I accidentally pulled up at 2 days old that still isn't doing well more than a wk later. I expect her to catch up soon though.
