new grower and need to know when to harvest

I'm a new grower and was given 2 clones about 6 weeks apart. 1 has buds that have been on there a few weeks now. The leaves are starting to turn up and I don't want to miss the proper time to harvest. Any suggestions on this? The 2nd plant has a lot of yellow leaves on it but the ph level and the ppm are in range. This is a HYDRO setup in a closet. Need suggestions please.

Hey tigermom70 and welcome to the forum. Sounds like you are looking the the magic question which I’m betting ha s been asked here 100 or more times. There are ways to make a very easy objective choice and depending on your level of involvement. Some go high tech and use computer or phone attached usb microscopes from$20 -40.00 that can give you an extreme look into the miniature world of plant anatomy some use jewelers loupes for $6-30.00 that get you a view of the key components of trichome maturities. Others use a good look at the plants pistils, those white hairs on a female plant that will start to turn brownish-orange and wait 3 weeks or so after that..( not as defining)

depending on your level of experience ( and we all start somewhere). Look around the web site and start here https://www.growweedeasy.com/basics. Scroll down towards the end where a full description of trichome development is described.

any questions on how to proceed...you will find more than willing friends here who will help to guide you along the path which will help turn you from inquiring to advising... these are people like no others...keep posting and if you have a few photos, they speak those 1000 words easily
