    Root Farm 45w Led

Those of you with the Root Farm 45W Led, how do you like it? How far away from Soil do you keep it for Germing seeds?

Canuck147 (I think you originally told me about it when I commented about how thick and healthy-looking your seedling stems were)

I'm always finding new ways to piss my wife off by ordering more "unnecessary" stuff for my grows (unnecessary is her opinion, not mine.)
3'x3'x6' Cool Grow Tent and Large Wooden Cabinet
3 and 5 Gallon Fabric Pots
    Coco Coir with 30% Perlite
    2-450 watt Vipar Spectra LEDs
4" Exhaust with Vivosun Fan and Carbon Filter
    6" Oscilatting Fan
GH Flora-Trio Nutes with Cal-Mag and GH Liquid Kool Bloom

I think homegrown mentioned that particular light when I did a forum search for Root Farm .

I recall seeing it posted recently myself and thought a bit about getting one but I doubt it will do much better than my old desk lamp with a 14w cfl. If you want a new light (who doesn't) around $100 why not pick up something more versatile like a HLG 65w QB or Mars Hydro TS600 for $80?

I decided against getting one. I think I'll just use my CFLs for now. Guess I'm just bored, waiting for my current (Photo) grow to provide me with some meds and feel-good buzzes. Thanks for the advice FunkyButtLovin - I appreciate it!

hey Sledrock , I have a root farm light. I love it. Picked up another similar unit at costco a couple of months ago(some dumb-ass left the display unit turned on and i was attracted to the bright light like a moth....have two now..lol. My light is about 2" from cups at the moment..could be a bit lower, but miss quarter pounder is getting a bit close. My second light is maintaining my photo clones untill i can get them in the tent.
