    Grow 10 - The People's Journal

I decided for my 10th journal that I would take a poll to see what 3 strains I would grow. Give the people what they want! Here's the strains the voters chose:

    Alaskan Purple auto by Seedsman
    Red Poison by Sweet Seeds
    Sweet Trainwreck by Sweet Seeds

    Equipment/nutes
    4 55w autocobs
    3*3*6 tent
    Megacrop
    Sweet Candy
    Bud Explosion
    Calmag
    Silica Blast

I will be quadlining all of these like normal, with defoliation as well.

Excited to see this one at the end!

I myself have been active for 20 months and learned more than 6 years in formal education. I guess it shows when you apply yourself in something you feel strongly about and enjoy, you do great stuff. Unfortunately, it took me 60+ yrs to find something I really enjoyed. AND, I enjoy your grows....subbed!!

Thanks Farmall! I appreciate the kind words!

Marijuana is definitely a passion of mine, so when I found out I could grow it way cheaper than I was buying it, I did dive right in.

My best piece of advice is do your research. I scoured so many articles on this site and others before I even got my first seed in the ground.

I'm so glad I found this website because it led me to where I am today! I also like the fact that I have documented all my grows on here so I can go back from time to time and see how far I've come.

      Keep growing, keep learning!

101% agreed ! Have followed the same footprint and it has paid off. Just finished 1 steady month of harvesting with 96 quart jars in the final analysis.

Today is day 10 for the girls. Well, 2 of them anyway. The alaskan purple did not want to sprout, so I checked it out and the seed had what appeared to be fuzz on it (like mold or something). I'm guessing the rapid rooter was far more damp than the other 2, so I probably drowned it. I haven't had a seed not sprout since my first grow, so I'm not doing too bad with seedling success rate lol.

So I switched the seed out with the other Alaskan Purple seed I had about 3 days in, so it's day 7 for that one.

    So far so good.

Also, I finally received my seeds from seedsman! If I would have known it would have only been another week I would have waited to start my grow, but they didn't post the tracking number until it was already in the US.

I'm not sure which of the 2 bigger ones is which. I had a trainwreck seed and red poison seed in the same container, so I'll have to wait until they start budding to figure out which one is which.

    Have a great week everyone!

I'll bet your seeds are on their way. I almost never receive shipping updates from them on time. I usually get my order the day before to day after they tell me they are shipped. When I get the shipped notification that means the package has made it through customs, reached a middle man in the USA, packages split up, repacked and have been mailed out from there.

Anyhow, I'm glad your seeds came in and even happier that grow 10 is already underway. I'm always really amazed by what you pull from a 3x3 and ~200 watts. I was thinking about going to QBs over this next year but I'm starting to wonder if I should maybe do COBs instead. I also wanted to ask what breeder the huge Gorilla Glue from Grow #6 came from?

FunkyButtLovin - ahh, i remember it like it was...10 days ago lol. Any time I have ordered from them in the past, the tracking number shortly follows the order (within a day or 2). I see they did things differently this year by shipping a large order to the US rather than individual ones. So I suppose that was the hold up on the tracking.

Again, not upset at seedsman, I love their selection!

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words about my grows, and I also am surprised by what i pull from the little tent with the little lights lol.

Gorilla Glue was from Fastbuds, but i always throw out the disclaimer that i think that was just a freak seed and i hit the lotto so to speak. If you read through that grow, the Gorilla Glue that was single mainlined ended up getting pulled because of how funky it was growing. But still, I was super impressed lol.

I havent really heard a bad thing about QBs, but I've never intently researched them. Once I got the COBs going I havent looked at lights since.

From what I remember reading about COBs, they are more efficient in terms of getting the most light possible to the plants (more efficient than the standard HPS grow lights). This is why they are able to produce well with such little energy.

I'm glad I started this grow too lol. I may smoke all my stuff before this one is ready 😂

SoOrbudgal - Thank you! As much as I'm hoping for another monster grow, I know that all the Trainwreck's I've grown in the past have yielded little compared to other strains I have grown (Even quadlined!). I'm not sure how the Red Poison will do quadlined, but I'm expecting similar results as the Trainwreck.

So I guess I have all my money on the Alaskan Purple (not much of a gambling man. I work at a casino 😂).

      Here's to hoping though!

Today is day 18 for Trainwreck and Red Poison, and 15 for Alaskan Purple.

They are all looking pretty good so far, with the Trainwreck looking the healthiest of the bunch. The Alaskan Purple seems to be growing far slower than the other 2. It's possible that the Alaskan Purple will end up yielding more than the other 2 since they both finish quicker than most strains from my experience with them.

Also have my solo cup grow chilling in here as well. It's Gorilla Glue from Fastbuds, so we will see how she does in a solo for a whole grow lol.

    Have a great day everyone!

Today is day 25 for Trainwreck and Red Poison and day 22 for Alaskan Purple.

The Trainwreck and Red Poison are looking really good, and have started their quadlines.

The Alaskan Purple is looking really weird. I think it's a mutant because there are no nodes on the top. I think I'm going to end up pulling her. After a dud and a mutant, I'm ready to move on from the Alaskan Purple. Better luck next time around!

Today is day 26 for the Trainwreck and Red Poison, and day 1 for Blue Cheese Auto by Dinafem.

This post is mainly for me keeping track of what day the Blue Cheese went in. The Alaskan Purple was dying and a mutant, so she was pulled. I only had 2 seeds of it, and the first one never popped (probably operator error). So I'll never get to see her in her glory lol.

Did a little more training and clipped off some leaves of the bigger 2. They are looking pretty good so far.

Today is day 33 for the Red Poison and Trainwreck, and 8 for the blue cheese.

The bigger ones are almost as trained out as they can be. They are both looking pretty good.

The Blue Cheese is a mutant I see. She has 3 cotyledons and 3 starter leaves. Interested in seeing how she turns out!

          Have a great week everyone.

The Red Poison is starting the stretch and looking good.

The Trainwreck is staying shorter in stature, but also looking good.

The Blue Cheese is looking good for its mutant status lol. Hopefully this one turns out good with its 3 leaf structure.

The 3 leaf looks great. Wonder if it will be bushier then usual or just somehow balance itself out.
I have a few Cheese from Seedsman. Probably similar. Maybe 6 months before I can plant it though.

Today is day 49 for the Red Poison and Trainwreck, and 24 for Blue Cheese.

The Red Poison is looking great, and starting to show some purple.

The Trainwreck is looking pretty good, but she did look a bit droopy. Her pot was really light, so I'm guessing I underwatered her.

The Blue Cheese is looking really good, seeing it being a mutant with 3 branches on each node. I suppose instead of a quadline, this would be a sexline? 😂 I've got high hopes for this one!

          Have a great day everyone.

JohnEmad - I dont go for a particular number of tips. I've found some plants and up having more tops than others, and sometimes I'll take off the first nodes of the branch if it's too crowded.

Just catching up on your grow now - I was MIA for a bit. Can't wait to see what happens to your self described "Sexline". I had a tri-whorl mutation show up in a Blue Mystic seed or two I got from Nirvana, but unlike yours, the trait didn't express on my plants until they hit the second or third node - so they started with 2 normal cotyledons. I am intrigued!
