These babies went in the pellets on 11/25. GSC is still alive, but growth is slow. My plants really seem to need more nutrients. I use the general hydroponics grow box, and the last feeding I mixed 1/2 of the "light" dose. I watered a ring around the plant, about a shot glass full, or a little more. I was planning on just phd water on the next feeding, but it takes forever for the coco to get dry, and I'm worried that they just need more. Without ya'll's help, and based on what i've learned, I am tempted to mix nutes a little stronger and skip the straight water. I've got to get these girls healthy and growing. Help me turn this around!

Did you remember to soak your coco with added CalMag before you started your plants? Are you adding additional CalMag to your nutrients? Coco requires lots of extra Ca.You may need to flush your coco and jiffy pellet real good with your nutrient solution to make sure the pH of those mediums are stabilized, then let them get fairly dry before rewatering.
I would stick with the lighter strength nutes until you're sure you haven't forgotten anything else because half strength is almost always enough, rarely will cause a deficiency, especially in plants that small.Nothing is foolproof for the sufficiently talented fool.

Geez, no I didn't do any of the preliminary stuff. It's my first coco grow. Just poured it out of the bag, soaked with water, put the pellets (which are coco as well) in the pots once I got a sprout. It's been SOOO slow. Ok, so what's my next step toward straightening them out? Thanks

I would start adding calmag now, maybe double dose to see if it makes a difference. Also check your run off pH.

Has anyone recovered a grow in coco that forgot to pre-wash with CalMag? What's the remedy?Nothing is foolproof for the sufficiently talented fool.

I went 10 days plus before realizing my current grow and 1st in coco was not precharged with cal/mag. I did a very weak foliar spray daily and top watered with a weak solution of cal/mag every day on top of my regular weak nute solution and being careful not to overwater. I continued this for 3 weeks. By then the plants had recovered with new green growth and the lower yellow leaves dying off. They grew enough that I could start up my reservoir as I am using autopots. The grow is now in full flower and the plants recovered very nicely. However the veg time was extended by at least 2/3 weeks for the autos I am running. Otherwise I believe had I waited any longer they would have all had a short life.
Hope this help and they get back on track.
