    Hi Potted

Do you think the bugs came from the intake? Have you ever had bugs before? Do you grow anything with your pot? like herbs that sort of thing.

I really want to understand what brings them to the marijuana

No I closed off the intake so the fumes would not enter my living space when lights and exaust fan was off.never seen them before ! I start summer seeds in grow room but not till April. Maybe I tracked them in? How ever it happened at least thier gone now.Never entered grow room during the 48 hours the strip was hung after that ran exaust for a few hours took down strip put it in zip lock bag and opened my intake witch is inside my living space.

Karlee, I found that certain garden plants like Roses and Merrygold are Spidermite attracters. If your intake happens to be near one of those plants. That might be a way to suck them into you grow room.
I question the logic of putting No Pest Strips in areas where i'm going to breath.

That's what I'm thinking and if you know of a plant that those bugs don't eat plant it near an in-take.

I also got them in the soil. A couple of years ago I got a batch of Fox Farm Ocean Forrest soil that I think had Spider mites in it. That is actually why I started using Roots Organics. I'm not badmouthing Fox Farm. They have great soil. I just think I got a bad batch.

This is interesting about how we get bugs. Last two years I didn't have any- zip-zero. I am gifted / totally grateful to have an upstairs bedroom dedicated to veg and an upstairs living room dedicated to my 5x9 tent. This year I had 1 inchworm, black gnats and Thrips (pretty sure Thrips ) on 2 of 8 plants (Sour Diesel). Although I have a landscape/ maintenance job and tend my yard and Cymbidiums I normally shower & change clothes before I go to Grow space.
the only thing I changed in the year was my coco from blocks (Sunleaves) to Platinum Cyco. My coco is stored in a dry/ warm out door building.
SO is it possible that I gathered bug from my new coco? it tends to store moisture longer than the blocks.

hello, i am having a bout with those darn thrips. i hung a no pest strip for 2 1/2 days and the little turds came back. must have been some eggs and such that hatched after the strip. so i put it in there again for another 2 days. i limit the amount of time i'm in there as this is powerful stuff. my flower room is about 14' x 8' by 12' high. i'm into my second week of flower and going to use some spinosad in the soil and do a wash.
glad you got rid of those guys as it does not take long for them to multiply.
