Did you let them establish roots? I cant imagine them being able to do anything until they grow roots. -

Female preflower on a plant that is 300 days old and has always been under 24hr light
Male plant preflower under 24hr of light age is are 3 months old.
Once you have seen them both on your plant you will have no doubt in the future. Do yourself a favor and get a loupe.
