HELP! Need help finding the right grow setup for myself

I’ve been researching how to grow cannabis indoor and outdoor thinking of the problems and since I live in a big city I’ve decided to grow it indoors the problem is I only got 300 bucks to spare I’ve looked at space buckets mini growth tents and it looks like space bucket is the way to go but most of the tutorials I look at don’t give a very good explanation on how to actually do when I say this I mean something that seems easy for them they will mention it but not explain it well for a newbie I’m wondering if I should just grow outdoors It seems more easier instead of worrying about the environment of a indoor growth I live in Kansas is this a good state to grow outdoors temperature wise sorry if this is worded weird I’m on mobile


also if you know a setup that is 300 bucks or under could you link it or tell me exactly what is needed like what type of soil and the organic nutrients I’ve had the most trouble researching soil needed along with proper nutrients for cannabis

Here is my 2 cents. If you are new, dont grow in a small space. I had similar thinking when i first started. I got a small 2x1x2 grow box that was supposed to be for stealth grows and ruined my first couple plants because i didnt know what i was doing. Mainly, with plant training and the plants growing into the lights. Find out how the plant grows first and then start going smaller. That said, outdoor growing and indoor growing are vastly different. Indoor requires more equipment and more plant training to get good yields where as outdoor requires space, time and seasonal planning (unless you are doing autos).

A lot of your questions could be answered if you spent some time going through the articles on the site. For 300 dollars i would go with a CFL or T5 setup as those are cheapest.

Welcome GoodVibes420 to the Forum where lots of ideas will help you on your new adventure. I grow outdoors in summer here in Oregon, sometimes your plants will thrive and make it through the climate, bugs and what not just like any garden it's got to be protected when things go wrong. But indoor you are in control for the most part. You can do this cheap cheap to begin with and experiment, lot's of ways to go. Keep it simple don't have high expectations for the first grow, but who knows you may just find you got a green thumb

You can get a nice tent pretty cheap, depending on size, some are only 50-70buck range.
For lighting I would go with Quantum Boards, like from HLG, very cheap and efficient, hardly any heat.
For soil, I would make my own, or you can get something like KindSoil, it works fine, all you need is water. It's got all the nutrients in it, so you want have to buy any, except molasses.
You can get a good intake and exaust fan, for around a 100bucks.
Your gonna do fine, plenty of folks on GWE, will be glad to try to help you.
I'd go with autoflowers, some go from seed to harvest in 60-75days, some longer.
Keeping it simple, is the best way, imo.
