Just purchasing some autos to trail outside iv never grown autos before ive being reading they seem to like alot light and there grows in and outside are around 90days also it states they like around 18 to 20 hour light a day i am in nz its coming towards end of spring and im getting around 10 solid direct light hours in my backyard will this produce well due to the sun the most powerfull light in the world if not would it be beneficial to bring my plant in bathroom for 8 to ten hours under normal bathroom cfl or would this create problems please let me know cause these are my first purchased proper seeds that i know what they are and supposebly what they do i spent abit i got pinnaple express and amnesia x autos so id rather try to grow them with best of my potential please help with ideas feedback knowledge cheers guys

So yea sorry if it doesnt make sense i meaning to state that if the 10hrs sunlight not enough should i bring them inside at night to give them more light in my bathroom or somthing to boost its lighting up my bathroom has no extra lighting 2 cfl bulbs on ceiling thats it bit would it be more productive than my 10hrs sunlight alone cheers people please chuck me some answers i could use ya knowledge ahahaIO'D -
We grew Jack Herrer autos, both outside and inside. Wife basically chunked a seed into a bag and threw it into her garden. It was given the same treatment as her squash and tomatos.
I'm currently growing from the same batch a seeds a single plant that I call tumble weed.
Outdoor was in the southern part of the states, over the last part of the summer, indoor started in september. Outdoor grew and flowered with 8 to 10 hours of southern burn.

Thanks mate but do you think if i grow it outside during day 10hr light and then bring in at night and put in bathroom for 8hr normal bathroom cfl that would give it 18/6 light a day would that be beneficial to its outcome at the end or do you think itl decrease plants outcome i dont have any funds for proper light setup but do you think my bathrooms normel cfl lighting be a pro or con cheers mate and i see in youre inside 1 absolutely smoked the outdoor yea but in final stage the outdoor looked as it would of produced bigger firmer bud correct or am i wrong again ahahaIO'DComment

So, autos can grow with whatever light you give it. The problem is, the less light, the less yield. So you CAN grow with only 10 hrs of light a day but you would get better results with 18 or 20 hrs with autos. If you want to bring them inside for more light then you will have to get lights. You can use cfls BUT they will have to be 2-6 inches from the tops of the plants for it to do any good and your wattage should be over 100w per plant at least in flower. From what i gather, you want to use your bathroom ceiling lights. That is not going to be adequate.

If money is tight you can build your own cfl fixture pretty easily. Im not completely helpless but im also not the kind of guy that is very good at diy stuff and this fixture was easy for me to do. This is in a small growbox i use for seedlings and clones.
I took a cut piece of plywood and attached two 4 socket adapters to it for a total of 8 sockets. Yes i had to do a little wire cutting and reconnecting but it was still easy. Hopefully this will give you an idea on how you can make do a cheap diy cfl fixture
