New HLG 260W XL QB V2 4000K LED Kit ROI/KISS test grow.

My California Light works 400 led light took a dump on me 1/2 way into my last grow. So I bought the
    260W XL QB V2 4000K LED Ki(---*Mistake--- I bought the
    260W XL QB V2 Rspec LED Kit - V2 R spec)
. I putmy 420 Fast Buds beans in tap water 24 hours. 4 Zkittlez and 4 GG#4. tossed them into my pots 2-5g and 6-3g a great fit for my 4x2 tent. May be to many plants but I don't like un-used space. we will see. 6 beans popped on 10-18 the other 2 (helmet heads) popped 10-19. I waited 2-3 days then took the shell off. ive killed plants by pulling on the seed 9Helmet head) and it rips the roots off the plant. I hung my new light 48 inches and have yet to move it. Its new and don't have a $200 for a Par meter. Every thing seems to going well.i have kept my light o n 100% from day one. cost of the light where I live is $46 per month. I may or could have dimmed it. please look at the pic and tell me if my light is going to enough for flower. I am doing ROI and KISS grow. So I have NOT topped or LST in any way. As I am getting more exp in growing...some things I have down pat. so I can play around with others till I get those for just about down pat as well. PLEASE take a look below and give any advice or thoughts. I have only grown for about 1 year I know I am a noob. This is my 4th autos run. 1st grow was ok 2nd was REAL GOOD 3rd was below normal( light puked) this is my 4th. Pics taken in the AM of 11-22 just before a nutrient feed. I really hope this light works magic for my ladies.

The HLG 260xl is a very good light. I did not see mention of the size of your grow space but the 260xl is perfect for 2x4. You do want to gradually increase light intensity to harden off ladies and prevent shock and burn. My real concern is flowering with 4000k color temp. It will flower your plants no problem but was more meant for veg. Should turn out great though and I would love to see your finished product. Good luck!

I checked my order I got the
260W XL QB V2 Rspec LED Kit - V2 R spec and not the
260W XL QB V2 4000K LED Kit. So it should be 3000k. I really really want a PAR Meter to get the light perfect and know the height's right off instead of safe trial and error. Anyone know where you can Rent a PAR meter. New ones cost over $150 and $300 for the good ones.

Good. That color temp. is perfect. As far as any meter goes, my opinion is they are not needed. My reasoning is that every plant reacts differently so reading the plant is way more efficient than what some meter can tell you. Start off at around 24" or so and dimmed all the way down for the first couple of days and then gradually turn up intensity every few days until you get to full remembering these lights run more efficiently at 70%- 90%. Ultimately it boils down to "trial and error" every time do to different plants and their respective needs. Good luck!
