Yes that is a "banana" cluster. I've never seen more than one at a time. I'd say take it off very carefully so it doesn't release pollen and as soon as you can give it a close up inspection to the entire plant to eradicate any more

Where there's one, there's usually more. Probably won't hurt anything, but keep your eyes peeled for worse....

I'm sweating the same thing right now. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens to me with all the newbie mistakes I've made. Do you have any idea what might have caused it? I know sometimes it just happens for no reason. It's an auto right? What strain is it? I'm about to go check every inch of bud right now.

I have heard that light or heat stress can cause it. My uneducated opinion is that the plant tries so hard to propagate that it forces some of the pre-flowers to change gender in an effort to produce the next generation.

I guess it's pretty amazing really, we marvel at how hardy these plants are, how they rebound and adapt, and that's exactly what they're doing when they hermie...going to extreme lengths in a final effort to survive. They're adaptability is a double edged sword for sure.

That's why is so common. These genetics survived more in proportion to those without it. Its one of the many things breeders have to eradicate in order to "stabilize" genetics

Learn the difference between male and female cannabis plants, and find out what to do with "hermies" (female plants showing male pollen sacs or bananas).

Looks like a 'hermie' to me also. I had that happen to two of my plants during the last grow. I carefully 'plucked' the dirty little 'nanners until I gave up. The best thing I found was, that only very few of the buds actually developed seeds at all. I am hoping that the 'nanner'ed' seeds will turn out to be female. I read that some where that the 'hermied' plants will produce 'feminized' seeds. I plan to test that theory out after this current grow is done, I'll post the results then.

Its gonna produce the same male female ratio than his parents. Meaning even when it pollinates itself. It uses the father info to create the male pollen. So it will end up with the same amount of males than his predecessors. Only with an even higher tendency to hernie.
To produce feminized seeds you have to pollinate one female with another female. Both with the right genetics and no tendency to hernie

High stress - high temperatures, light leaks, inconsistent light schedules are just a few things that can cause this. I've only grown feminized seeds I didn't want this problem but reading I found the right seeds aren't all to worry about.

Strange side note when you worry The fight or flight response causes the body's sympathetic nervous system to release stress hormones. Don't stress yourself just do it the right way
