    Flowering Stage Light Exposure

I'm on my last weeks of flower stage and I'm bending my 12" to 18" kolas to even out the shadow side were my LED lights aren't hitting directly. From seed Gorilla Glue, I'm using a 2000 watt LED by Bestva, DWC system, lights are on 24/7 13th week.
My question, is it OK to bend the kolas to even out the consistency of the whole kola? I bent them at the base of the kola. The kolas have a girth of about 5"

Is this an auto strain of Gorilla? I was under the impression that flowering was a 12/12 regimen and 24/0 was a more intense veg regimen.

Yes this is an Auto flower by Growers Choice seeds. There is a huge difference in yield (more than doubled) when I went to a 24 hour cycle. The colas also got more density as well as intensifying the terpens. This was my first 24 hour cycle.

I mean not confident in this answer but if it were me i would be worried of breaking the stem and also worried that i would interrupt the flow of nutrients to the bud. I dont know if it would have an impact but at that stage of flowering i would be conservative in my damaging of the plant either through defoliation or lst. That said you may be fine as long as you are gentle and dont break the stem. I think bending would be ok as long as it doesnt damage the stem this close to harvest. But, that is my gut speaking not any factual evidence.

Well the proof was in the trichomes. I bent the colas 90 degrees where the LED was hitting directly for two days. I prefer a 50/50 split between milky and brownish trichomes for a more stoney effect. Before the bend I saw 90% milky on the side that wasn't getting equal lighting but after two days of bending the entire cola evened out to where the whole cola is now a consistent 50/50 trichome split.

Thats interesting! Thanks for sharing that. I misunderstood what you meant by consistency but glad it all worked out! I turn my pots or buckets during the grow to even out light distribution for bud growth but i never thought of how it would effect the trichomes but yeah it makes sense.

My biggest and best investment was in purchasing my illuminated 100x microscope from Active Eye. hydrofarm.com. Consistency is the hardest to achieve at least for me. Because of the microscope I am able to clip and experiment with different stages at the end of the flower cycle. Although you are smoking the same strain a one to two week difference is an entirely different high. I love it!
