    Mites! RRRAAAAGGGHHHH!!!!!!

Sorry, I dont have any good pictures of this problem, trust me. Its mites.
Fellow growers.. I am at war! I am literally at week 8, harvest, and I just discovered a web in the back on a leaf, and looking further, I definitely found mites. I really thought I just had pH issues.. the way I pH is kinda iffy some days. They are the clearish ones with two dark spots.

So, OK.. mites. Fuck me running.

I sprayed the tent with All Seasons Horticultural & Dormant Spray Oil.. a miticide that is for organic growing. Great. The general population is down, but next day I still see more of those freaky little spiders crawling on my future smoke. Oh Hell No. I sprayed again. This was over a three day period..and also yesterday.

Today, after a quick spot check, I looked for about 15 min and couldnt find anything moving.. Since I sprayed twice in a week with the miticide, I wanted to get the film of that off my bud before harvest, so I sprayed them down real good with the water spray bottle and said goodnight. Tomorrow, I want to spray them once again with the water bottle, let them dry out real good, then harvest.

My idea/plan (haha) is to clip the larger leaves, and jar everything immediately and stick the jars in the freezer for a few days to a week.. Seriously, if I find anything crawling on my bud, I'm probly gonna smoke it anyway and thats gross. Lets be honest.. lol

Once I am satisfied that every living thing and its unholy, unborn spawn are completely eradicated, I will pull the jars from the freezer, let them thaw at room temp, remove the lids and give everything a good shake.. Like a baby..

If anyone has any better advice, I'm all ears..

Lucky13 We all have a grow that teaches us how much more carefully and closely we need to inspect our plants throughout flowering, looking for things like WPM and pests. Because I didn't know to inspect my colas very carefully on my second grow, I ended up with one hermied plant and seeds on 3 out of 4 plants. I was fortunate because apparently, she hermied later in flower and the seeds weren't fully developed, and there weren't all that many seeds.

If you keep your eyes focused like a hawk on your plants, you learn faster, too. The closer I look at my plants on a daily basis, the more familiar I get with each phase of growth. It has gotten much easier for me to look at the buds and know when they are ready to harvest. Practice, of course, does make us much better growers.

I hope the product you used was safe during flower, here's some more info if you need it: All-Natural Pesticides - Safe Up to Harvest! | Grow Weed Easy

I don't think the "Freeze immediately" idea is a good one: I think that would totally fk up the cure process.

Thank you, this is the method I went with, and it seems to be working out very well!

I too have spidermites, first spray was with leftover trifecta crop control (for WPM/bud rot) and alcohol added to it (only because it was already in the sprayer). Second spray was with 91% ISO 2 parts water and 1 part alcohol. The smell was strong! In a day or 2 I will hit them again with alcohol and water @ 8 to 1 (W-A). The alcohol kills on contact and evaporates fast, does not kill eggs thus re-treatment is needed. Good luck

BTW I spray the plants from underside, the soil, pots, floor and tops of plants until soaked!

Sweet! I'm all about foliars, and I have a cat, so..plenty of 91% alcohol sitting around! Hopefully harvesting the entire plant and waiting a few weeks will help as well.
