    SOIL How are my Pistils??

I have read the Grow Weed Easy page on how to know when to harvest but I am still unsure of my own pistils even after looking at the article photos and read through 3 times. Last time I harvested to early so the effects were not very good, this time I seem to have much more amber than before but I can't tell which are cloudy pistils and which aren't. Most seem very very clear, I think I am approaching nine weeks of flowering now. The plants in the photos are Gorilla Zkittlez.

Hi Mad, I've done the same quite a few times, and here's what I've learned:
    1. Don't look at leaves; look at the buds. I see your pictures focused on leaves.

    2. You will get used to looking at trichomes, and even though any decent loupe will be hard to focus, you still get used to it and you will eventually be able to distinguish between clear and bulging, milky trichome heads.

    3. Get a good loupe. Crappy ones were a waste of my money in my experience. Here's my favorite loupe, can't be beat: https://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...chomes-clearly

    4. Look at the bud holistically: it's more than just trichomes you want to look at. You will see the stigmas (or pistils) turn color and start to curl; you want to wait till they are really curled in, like dried out. There should be very few white stigmas on the bud (some strains will keep throwing out stigmas in a last ditch effort to get pollinated, but when most of the stigmas are dried and dark, it's a good sign.

    5. I inevitably brush against some buds when I'm tying something up or moving it into the light; those places will show amber trichomes early cuz the trichomes have been messed with. Try to examine buds that haven't been touched.

    6. Practice really does make perfect. I have very closely watched my buds develop and I'm getting used to what they do, and know much better now what I'm looking for. Keep using the loupe: it really does help to practice.

Thank you so much for responding, your advice should help a lot. I think they are near ready so an other week should do the trick. So here's a picture of the bud itself.

Looks close are you flushing? Allow plant to dry completely if it were mine after last water only I let soil dry and plant to use up stored energy. Great job!
