Should I Harvest Yet ? Or wait ?

Hey Guys and Gals. I'm New here and I'm also New to Growing. I am Growing a Hindu Kush Autoflower. I purchased the Seeds from Growers Choice Seeds under the recommendation of the Seller at Growers Choice because he said they are Fast Growing and Easy to Grow for Beginners. The Seed Sprouted the First Week of August. At first it had a little trouble Growing because the shell of the Seed it was in didn't properly fall off when it was supposed to during that first week of growth. It was basically a thin stem growing with a shell on top. So I delicately helped it get that shell off and then regular growth resumed. Anyway it is now October 20th which makes it 11 Weeks old at this point. Breeder told me they typically take 8 - 10 Weeks. The plant looks like it's just about ready for Harvest but I'm not 100% sure which is why I'm here asking you Professionals. Now I've read lots of different articles on this and the amount of different answers I've heard is whats confusing me. I've read that the Fan Leaves will all start turning Yellow and dropping off the plant. That has Not happened yet. All these leaves are still Green. Also the White Pistil Hairs have mostly turned Reddish Brown in color but there are still some White Hairs showing here and there. As far as the Trichomes go as far as I can see under the Magnifying Glass they look kinda mixed some White some Clear. But none have turned Brown from what I can see. I would like to Harvest it when it's at it's Highest THC Content if Possible. I want it to be that Good Stuff where you only need like 2 Tokes of it to be Baked Out lol. From what I've read it's at it's Highest THC Level before the Trichomes turn Brown when they're all Milky White. So should I wait a little longer until 100% of Trichomes are White or should I wait until I see them just starting to turn Brown in color ? I don't want it too speedy where it feels like you're about to have a Heart Attack like it's laced with Blow just a nice strong Baked feeling. And does it matter if the Leaves have turned Yellow or not ? If they aren't Yellow does that mean the plant's Not done growing yet ? Maybe now is a Good time to start Flushing ? See I just don't know exactly when the 2 Week mark before the Plants ready is ? How do you tell when there's only 2 Weeks left ? So afraid of Harvesting too early and too late. The Buds are looking good with a lot of white Trichomes but some are still clear. Also I expected the Buds to be a little Fatter but who knows maybe they won't get any Fatter than they already are ? Sorry for all these questions and details I just wanted you guys to know where I'm at with it and what you all think I should do at this point and when should I start Flushing. I'm worried cause it's already 11 Weeks old and don't wanna wait too late. Lemmie know what ya'll think. Thanks !! Oh and it's in Soil. I posted a bunch of pics for you to see where it's at basically.

Nice flowers and pictures, if she was mine, I'd give her another 2weeks, cause I think she's still growing and the buds will also get bigger, and then flush for 2more weeks.
Very nice first grow, and welcome to GWE.

Thank You so much !! You just made me feel a lot more Relaxed lol. I was nervous that I should be Harvesting her now or it'll be too late but I was thinking the same thing to myself probably another 2 weeks. Just the fact that she's going on Week 12 was making me worry. Thanks for your Help !!

Hey Jay, You are very welcome.
You can't always go by what the seedbanks say, I've had some autos get done in under 60days, and some that took over a 100days,
You have done a great job, with her, very pretty.

I just wanted to post some recent pics so you could see where it's at and reassure me you still think she needs more time and everything looks like it's going good ? You don't notice anything that needs work ? Also the Buds near the Top are Bigger than the Buds in the Middle to the Bottom. Do you usually Harvest the whole plant at the same time even if the Buds on top appear to be done first ? Or do you do the Tops first and continue to let the bottoms keep growing ? I trust your Input.

GoodMorning 1973 , those pics do look a little closer, but I'd still wait a week or two.
I grow organically, at harvest, my leaves are all yellow, even the stalk sometimes.
Yeah, if one flower, is done ,and the lower ones aren't, You can harvest in stages,
        Nice pictures, beautiful flowers.
        Great job.
Hang in there, it will be worth the wait, I promise you.

patience grasshopper....they look killer! stop staring at them lol..your freak'n um out. Agree with D.A.A.S.69 2-3 weeks then start to flush.. You really dont want to rush thru now... Your gonna have some nice buds when their finished growing! Think of it this way...the longer you wait..the better product you get.

homegrown Yes I agree the longer you wait the better but this Plant first Sprouted back during the first week of August and it's an Autoflower. Was supposed to be a 8 Week grow lol. So it's now like 3 Weeks overdue which is why I'm buggin' out wondering if I should still wait. But if you guys say Yes wait then I'll wait. Thanks for the feedback !!

Did you top it? If you did then you need to add a couple weeks to your expected date.

        #7
Didn't Top it. Only LSTing and that was earlier during the Veg Stage. No Yellow Leaves either. Their were a few smaller Fan Leaves that I found at different times hidden down in the bottom that turned yellow and fell off earlier in Flowering but that is it. Think they turned yellow for different reasons. Also I problably shouldn't have done this but it's over and done with now I cut off some of the Big Fan Leaves that were Blocking Light to some of the Bud Sites. Not all But wherever I saw Particular Leaves literally hanging right in front of where Buds were forming I cut them off. Was that a Bad thing to do ? Also should I still be giving it Bloom Nutes with every Feeding ?

Jay1973 No, not a bad thing but recognize that these solar panels (leaves) are not regenerating at this stage of growth and the plant will still need some leaves to photosynthesize food to continue feeding. Most would do the same thing, if possible to tuck the bigger ones behind something, that works too.

homegrown funny but you’re right....stop starring at them. Once in a blue moon I treat myself with French press coffee instead of the Keurig thing. I was waiting for the pot to boil the water and it seems as though it refused... went to get something and came back in 3o seconds.... BAM! Boiling water..😅

Jay1973 I take big fan leaves off, all the time if I can't tuck them, especially the leaves with the long stems.
You ain't hurt anything, your doing great, just give them a little longer, and you will be smoking some killer.

When you took off a bunch of the Fan Leaves did you notice if your Plant seemed like it stopped growing at all ? Not just Height Wise but Slower Bud Production ? Or did the Sugar Leaves seem like they started drooping ? Cause some of my Sugar Leaves almost look like the way leaves on a Plant look when you over water. Which may very well be the case being sometimes I do water once everyday. I'm trying to give her as much Nutes for Trichome Production and Fatter Buds as possible.

Hello Jay why are you watering everyday? Plants will slow down taking in water as it nears harvest, downward droop sign of water logged soil you don't want root rot now. Your plants are looking very nice in the first posts, nearly done. If they were mine i'd just let them dry out for several days bettcha they will do just fine heck by the time you read this they may be ready have you just flushed with plain water yet?

Jewelers Loupe will be in my Mailbox tomorrow actually lol. But I was just looking at the Trichomes again today under a Magnifying Glass and it seems that most of them look like they're still in the Clear stage. some are White looking on the very top but mostly Clear on the overall plant. Weird that they are so overdue so late in their life. Now I'm afraid to Flush cause I want the Nutrients to do their Job. Don't want to Harvest with Mostly Clear Trichomes right ?

Jay1973 it may take up to 3 weeks longer for your trichs to convert to some amber. Have been through the anxiety of knowing they should be harvested but you wait for some amber.....that daily check fills your head with anticipation and disappointment that you know you need to hold off. Doing so will only serve to mature your buds and provide you the potent product you hope for...resist. Maybe try 1 bud, let it dry a touch for a few days, then see if you’re happy with the test. You know it’s not cured yet or in prime condition but..that will bring you to a decision point. I tend to believe many many many growers have gone thru that mindset.

Several factors will control bud maturation and conversions of trichome for CBN development and I’d bet.... you’re still 9 to 12 days away possibly more . But at least now, you’re making much better observations about when YOU want to harvest your material. I’ve found a personal preference is about 20% and waiting for that can drive you a bit crazy.

As a side note, when this one was harvested, most of the leaves were dropping off, yellow or dead... but it ambered up 25% nicely
                Easy trimming though
