This happened to me as well johnemad! Gotta remember to charge the coco before planting or they have a hard time. Had 4 plants where 2 i forgot to charge the coco and they looked runty as all get out. Once i corrected the calmag issue they shot up like, well, weeds!!!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I think I’ll keep adding it to my 3 littlest ones since they were started with it. I kinda had thoughts it was a good supplement, but most references online refer to CalMag only if there is a nutrient issue.

per NebulaHaze "You may need a Cal-Mag supplement if…- Using reverse osmosis (RO) or soft water
- Growing in coco coir
- Your plant is showing a deficiency in Calcium (brown spots), Magnesium (lower leaves turn yellow between the veins) or Iron (bright yellow new growth) even though the pH is correct
- Some growers always include a Cal-Mag supplement"
Calimagic too whatever's the cheapest. https://www.amazon.com/General-Hydro...-16&th=1&psc=1

I guess it depends. For me, i use RO water which needs calmag added to it and i use coco which needs it as well so for that grow yes. Now in my dwc if im topping off and the ppms are a little high then i dont use it but monitor for calmag deficiencies.

Using CalMag
Can or should CalMag be used as a regular additive for every nute change?
Cheers
