Question about Veg tent while Flowering in a different tent...]

I bought a new tent so I could veg new plants in one tent while flowering in the other. PROBLEM: The plants in Flower didn't seem to be progressing as fast as I thought they should :-( I was in week 6 and still did not see any "Budlets? After thinking on it some, I think the problem was a very small amount of light was escaping from the "ventilation" flap on the veg tent? It was such a small amount of light and a good distance across the room, I thought I'd be ok? Apparently Not. I was worried about the Veg tent getting too hot, so I left one flap partially open. I eventually scrapped the plants in the flowering tent and let the new plants veg a couple more weeks and then moved them into the Flowering Tent. They are farther along at 2 weeks than the other ones I scrapped (which were at 6 weeks.) How can I Veg in one tent (and make sure it doesn't get too hot while leaving the vent flaps closed all the way?) I'm out of meds and I wasted 6 weeks, waiting on the first plants to finish flowering - DOH! Any advice would be much appreciated!

Need to fabricate a light trap for your veg tent. One time i use ducting and put a few bends in it and shoved it through one of the bottom holes of my tent. Im sure google search for light trap for grow tents will produce a lot of results. you can also switch to auto flowers which is what i did.

Sledrock, you don't need a tent to veg. The only reason you need a tent at all is so your plants have COMPLETE darkness during the 12 hours of flowering.

I'm just trying to tell you that you don't need a tent for vegging. or you can make it real easy on yourself and get Auto flowering. Then you don't need a tent at all, for anything.
