I think a good start is to start taking photos of your plant and in some organized way keeping comments and points about those time periods with each photo. Some people start posting right from germination with grow details and some wait a bit and post there reflections and photos further into the grow. For me, I have tried in the past and the hardest part which I was not successful at, was to take photos regularly and consistently. GL!

Take a look at growdiaries dot com. That could give you some ideas what info to report (if you're going to do it as a forum thread). They have a very structured grow-diary interface which felt limiting to me. (I like to do things my own way.). But, standardizing grow-diary parameters is probably beneficial, to compare grows in an easy way, find grows that share common parameters.
