missing hairs

Any outdoor growers have this issue? So some of my tops are missing the white hairs, a couple days ago it was only two tops now it’s four. Is there a pest that eats the hairs? Seems like the very top stops growing when this happens. I’ll post pics when I get home. Any help appreciated

i think broad mites can do that along with eating the trichomes

I am in Northern California if that helps. Caterpillars are the main problem here outdoors.

yeah thats damage from a big bud munchin on your plant, like a caterpilar, stink bug, or those big grasshopers
