    Oxyclone cloning system

    Hi Everyone,
Been super busy with work but am gearing up for a grow in late September.
Saw this Oxyclone device on sale at my local grow shop and decided to try it out.
It uses an air and water pump to both add air to the water and circulate the water at the same time.
I took 20 clones from 3 mother plants that were somewhat abused and neglected (due to my work schedule) and set them into the Oxycloner on August 14th.
I used plain scissors and simply cut the stalks at a 45 degree angle and removed any bits of growth that would be submerged in the water. I set it on a table in a north facing window and used tap water with a ph of 5.6. I added a teaspoon of kelp solution to the water and let it go. After 5 days no roots showing. After 10 days 15 plants with roots started. The pictures show 14 days later and the super root growth on all but 2 of the cuttings.
Real happy with the results and it is a set and almost forget method that I see works well.
Will plant 4 of the clones into autopots in a test of the low maintenance system to see if my start and leave alone growing will be successful.
I appreciate any comments and hope this is of some value for the forum.
    Cheers.

It's always nice when something works as advertised. I think there are a few people here using Hydrofarm cloners.

I've got a home built aero-cloner, and except for the sometimes leaky lid, I love it

These are the fastest clones I've ever taken ... GSC x Space Dude from TGA. I think they are 11 or 12 days old. They got Roots gel, fulvic acid, B vitamins and kelp all in tiny amounts from the start.

nice little system you built there HappyDaze. When I get more time this winter I will see if we can trade clones. I have over a dozen new strains to grow and access to more from people in the Central Alberta area. Especially useful to trade when you consider the lack of choice from our Gov't sanctioned suppliers.

That would be great. There's a couple of other Calgary area growers lurking about GWE that you might have already seen posting. YYCannabis and Tmax are here and might be interested in joining a quilting circle.

There's another lid for my cloner that fits 8 2" net pots. That's the most I can do at one time right now, but it works fast when the sprayers are in the right spot.

That looks just like what I have, I removed the pump (adds heat to the water) and put in 2 bubble wall stones and an air pump.
Since I get 100% (so far)

Finally had 100% of the cutting take root so now I have potted 3 of the best ones in the Autopot system.
I will keep a journal and post the autopot trial grow.
The whole reason for using the systems are for ease of care and maximizing my time. I want to find a way to grow quality cannabis with as little time spent on it as possible.
I have several hobby's but as life does sometimes it dictates more work and less time for other pursuits.
Taking 10 days away in 2 weeks so we will see what the system does while I am away.
Using 50/50 coco/perlite and will use Remo Nutrients starting in about 10 days.
It advises putting the clones in the pots and watering through with ph'd water and then waiting about 10 days to 2 weeks for the pots to dry out and the roots to take hold.
Then turn on the reservoir filled with nutrient water in a self watering system needing no electricity to operate. Simple and easy to use ( I Hope).
2x4 grow tent, 238W QB @4000k with far red strip added.(dimmed by 50% until they root well)
4" exhaust fan with charcoal filter.
      1 - 6" intake fan and 1 - 12" oscillating fan in the tent.
Let the almost hands free test begin!
