    A Tale of Two Runts

I started eight beans hoping for six indoor beauties. All eight germinated but two were definite runts. Not ready to be topped when the others were, one was all spindly (showing her sativa) the other a bush but half the height of the others; both at least one set of growth-tips behind the rest when the rest needed to be topped.

Couldn't bring myself to abort them, so outside they went.

Okay - long story short. Both are four feet (including the pot) and are starting their flower. That is with almost zero effort. ~Zero. Hit them with nutes when I think of it and water when I water the tomatoes and herbs. No special attention. They get maybe 4 hours direct sunlight a day.

    We'll see what happens.

They are lovely! I hope you get some good bud off of them.

One of the runts looks like a Halloween Harvest the other has just stalled. Is it common to have such a variance for outdoor plants?

        Outdoor growing seems way easier.

Great job, it must be like Heaven, living in a legal state.

The neighbor asked if we thought a skunk had moved in under our porch :-)

A week of rain and drizzle leading up to harvest resulted in bud rot :-(

        Almost nothing was salvageable

Thanks man. Live and learn. But those were nice and stinky and sticky buds to lose. Salvaged enough for a good taste.

Growing outdoorsb is very different for sure. Lots of positives but being at the mercy of the weather and pollen and dust and varmints and whatever else has its own challenges. It was great practice for next year !

          :-)
