Do those using a pH meter store it in a storage solution?

Other than storing Bluelab pen in solution has anyone ever placed it in the fridge to store? I don’t want it to get to hot at any point and I have a mini fridge close by I could store it in if this is ok? Or is this not the best idea? Thanks

Is there a storage solution that you make from a powder or drops? If so, what kind of water is used? BTW, my pen arrives today, Sunday, via USPS, if you can believe that.

You got it. After PH check, I rinse line with DI water then store it in KCl they last a long time when stored properly.

Blue lab PH pens require hydration in KCL according to the manufacturer.

RO and DI water will cause the ions to leave the glass bulb over time. Eventually the meter will not calibrate.

Does your storage solution have only so many days of storing your pen before you dump it out, and replace w/ fresh solution? Or, do you just keep adding more as it slowly evaporates?

@ Toker1, where are you getting your deionized water. Supermarket?
